Rare 1970 Long Hood 911T Converted to RS Tribute Car
Offered here is a rust free. beautiful. original color "Conda Green" 1970T converted to RS tribute car.   Non-sunroof coupe like the original RSs. Car converted 20 years ago and repainted in Glasurit original (paint code: 2626-G) color at that time.   Car has less than 4K miles in 20 years and has been garage kept and never seen rain since the conversion.   This car was brought into the Maryland area from California at the time of the conversion.   There is no rust on this car!  In addition to the conversion. a number of very expensive and important mechanical upgrades were done to the car.
Bullet-proof 3. 0L 1983 911 SC motor rebuilt and added with the following features:911 S camsCosworth higher compression silicone/high copper alloy racing pistons fitted and detuned to 9:1 compression. Electromotive crank-fire ignition with Clewett Engineering trigger and crank pulley kit. 43mm (yes. you read that right) Weber three barrel carbs added.   Background: 20 years back Jerry Woods would modify the 40 Webers to 43 venturis for the larger displacement engines because the mid-range and metering signal for those carbs was far better and more streetable than the 46s.   The 46s tended to be peaky and great for racing but not so much for street and the 40s were just a little too small for a 3. 0L with S cams. K&N reusable air filters with rain shield fitted. 930 valve coversAlternator rebuiltNew voltage regulator fitted. Original 901 5 speed trans with: Numbers matching transComplete rebuild. Ultra-rare "large spline" factory clutch-style limited slip differential added.   Try to find one now for under $3000. 3rd and 4th gears changed to allow for that extra grunt that we all enjoy for street driving.   5th left alone for highway cruising. Hammer welded steel Carrera flares added to rear. Rear bumper flared to match rear quarters.   These are steel. not fiberglass. Roll bar welded in.   Main hoop and with rear bracing only. No diagonals at the drivers and passenger entry doors so ingress and egress are original. All rubber door and window gaskets replaced at time of conversion. Both 5 point and standard three point seat restraints provided. Interior black RS door panels with red door pulls fitted from Autos International. Black headliner and visors. Fitti E3 steering wheel. Early Recaro sport seat with "old school" net-style headrests. Matching green four point seat restraints for both driver and passenger and traditional three point retractable seat belts. New carpet kit from Autos International installed at time of conversion. Trunk carpet also. RS "ducktail" and front spoiler fitted. Fiberglass parts from the best in the business. Getty Design. Front center mounted oil cooler fitted.   Converted RX7 cooler. Original Fuchs five spoke 7x15 and 8x15 black center wheels fitted. 22mm front torsion bars and factory original 26mm 930 torsion bars in the rear. ERP front bump-steer kit fitted. Koni front sport shock inserts with OE Koni rear shocks re-valved to match front sport valving. Adjustable Weltmeister front and rear anti-sway bars. Carrera front calipers and rotors. Car weight balanced assuming 180 lb. driver only. This car is light. fast and very nimble.   It is a joy to drive and gives you the great. raw feel of the early 911's.   Estimated hp is 275 and it sure drives like it!
Additional parts come with the car:Original steel 911 T front lower valence.   Original steel 911 T rear deck lid. Factory tool kit. I have the original steering wheel and horn assy but that is in storage in MD and I will have to mail that to you. Covercraft Evolution car cover in excellent conditionCondition:The paint is in very excellent condition.   Amazing gloss. There are a few miniscule stone chips on the front bumper/hood and one chip on the front edge of the cowl near the windshield wiper that has been touched up. This is a rust free CA chassis. Small 3/4" crack in dash between speaker grille and defrost vent.   Diagonal crack in speaker grille.   See  pic.
