Only serious buyers. please. This a classic Porche 928 with the telephone wheels. All original (to the best of my knowledge). I bough this Porsche on Ebay in June 2013 from an exotic car dealer in Florida The title was clean with 1 owner. The car had 58k then and I did the 60k recommended tune-up at the Porsche dealership ($2. 00). They said that the timing belt was new. so that was a relief. Since I had the car I only had to change the battery. I kept it in my garage while I had it. The paint and body are in excellent condition. The previous owner had it painted recently (not sure the exact date) using an original factory color. The AC and heat work very well. The radio had been upgraded to the CD version by the previous owner. All the lights. power seats. window and mirrors work well.
The car runs great and starts right away. The transmission is running smoothly. I only used the car to go to the occasional cars & coffee events in my area as well as a Porsche 928 event in fall 2013. Add to that a few Sunday drives in the spring and fall. and that explains why I put very little miles on it. I have 2 other cars for daily use.
I now need to sell it to make room for a stick shift car to teach my son. and I don't have room for the 928 anymore. I've had my fun (it was a childhood dream to own one). but I have to let it go now. Parental responsibilities must be the priority.
One thing I need to declare is that sometime in the fall of 2016. the speedometer and odometer stopped working. I've had trouble with the instrument cluster since the beginning. The gas indicator stopped working and eventually the battery indicator failing as well. But it didn't affect the driving. so I didn't do anything about it. However. the speedometer and odometer are important. so after I took it out of storage in early March. I took it to a local Porsche shop. They took the cluster out. and it turns out that the ribbon circuit is the issue. However. they couldn't find one from their usual parts providers. so they re-assembled it. I haven't used it since.
The car is clean and runs well. If you can find a ribbon circuit. I was told the instrument cluster will start working again.
Note that you are responsible for taking delivery. I live in a residential area where it might be hard to have a large car transport carrier come and pick it up. It would have to be a smaller carrier.
