1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Fastback

 Hello. I have decided to part with my 1968 Ford Fairlane 500 Fastback. It's a pretty rare car indeed as it has the original 390Y engine and C6 transmission that it came with. Of course it has been beefed up since it's debut. This car was raced about 20 years ago and the previous owner installed a few goodies to give it a little extra edge down the quarter mile drag strip. The engine has a pretty radical race cam. solid lifters. high pressure oil pump and performance head components. It still has the long tube headers that were installed back in the day. The rear end has 4:11 gears and is tight. This car will of course need some body work and a good paint job but it's fine to drive as is. Underneath is pretty solid. The guy at the muffler shop couldn't get over how good it still looked under there for a car of this age. In this car's current state I never go out on the road without getting many thumbs ups. waives. and comments. This car still has the original radio which does not work by the way. and its original carpet with still looks pretty good. There is a seam in the headliner that needs resewing. The original back seat has tears along the very top but is nicely concealed with the top carpet piece that I've used for the hatch back area.  Dash is ok but has wear around the speaker grill. There has been a tachometer installed in the far right place on the instrument cluster area where there was nothing but an emblem inside the clear plastic housing. This car has manual brakes and steering which both work properly. No a/c or heat.
  The engine has been rebuilt and is bored . 060 over with fresh new pistons. rings. bearings. seals. etc. The heads also have over $1000. 00 worth of work done to them. This motor only has about 500 miles on it since its rebuild so it's technically still breaking in. The transmission is working properly and has a wonderful shift kit installed by the previous owner.

EDELBROCK PERFORMER ALUMINUM INTAKE. EDELBROCK PERFORMER 650CFM CARBURETOR. BRAKES. BRAKE CYLINDERS. BRAKE LINES WHERE NEEDED. MASTER CYLINDER. ALTERNATOR. BATTERY. HEAVY DUTY STARTER SOLENOID. POWERMASTER MASTERTORQUE 9606 STARTER. WIRING WHERE NEEDED. VOLTAGE REGULATOR. ALUMINUM HIGH FLOW RADIATOR. BLACK HIGH BACK CUSTOM BUCKETS SEATS. B&M STARSHIFTER. (SO MUCH FUNNER THAN THE COLUMN SHIFTER). DUAL EXHAUST WITH THRUSH GLASSPACKS. GREAT SOUND. FUEL TANK. FUEL SENDING UNIT.   BULBS AND HEADLIGHTS. REAR TIRES. FRONT TIRES ARE VERY GOOD.  PROBABLY OTHER THINGS THAT WILL BE ADDED AS I THINK OF THEM.  
HEADLIGHTS. TURN SIGNALS AND HORNS ARE WORKING WHICH ARE ALSO NEW. THE MAG WHEELS WERE ON THE CAR WHEN I GOT IT AND ALTHOUGH HAVE WEAR. THEY STILL LOOK PRETTY GOOD.
