1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst a high-performance variant of the luxury 300 for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 474 votes
This is a very nice example of one of the rare high performances  300-H Chrysler modified by the Hurst Performance  Corporation.   I purchased it in 2002 from the original owner.

The 300 Hurst was a high-performance variant of the luxury 300. built with the input of aftermarket parts manufacturer Hurst Performance. Only 501 units are believed to have been built.

The scooped hood and trunk lid (with a molded spoiler) are both fiberglass. All Hurst 300s  could be had with column- or console-mounted 727 automatics. All came with the 375 hp (280 kW) 440 cu in (7. 2 L) 4-barrel TNT V8 engine. Road tests clocked one at 0-60 at 7. 1 seconds with the 1/4 mile in 15. 9 seconds. "Not bad for a 4. 00 lb (1. 00 kg) aircraft carrier ". they claimed.

The car is in excellence condition. the interior is all original as is the exterior except for the fiber glass hood and trunk which I had refinished.

Some of the features on  this car are: Saddle color leather bucket seats: Fiberglass power bulge hood (with functional air scoop); dual. depressed. rotary hood latches; special paint (Spinnaker white;  Satin Tan color  accents; special striping and an integrated wing-type rear spoiler.

The engine is;V-8. Overhead valves .   Cast iron block.   Displacement:  440 cubic inches.   Bore and stoke:  4. 326x3. 75inches.   Compression ratio:  9. 7:1. Brake horsepower: 375 at 4600 R. P. M.   Five main bearings.   Hydraulic valve lifters.   Four-barrel Carburetor.

The car also is optioned with the comfort options you would expect on one of the highest priced cars of the 1970 model year. including power front disk brakes.   After all it is part of the family of  Chrysler 300's that become know as the Bankers Hot Rod.

This car does not yet command  the value of the 50's and 60's 300's. but is the only one graced by the hand of Hurst.   Its potential for upside investment value is very good if maintained in its present condition.

The car has 97. 00 miles most of which occurred in the first ten years of its history.
