1967 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER COUPE 440 AUTO SURVIVOR CAR for sale
Current customer rating: (327 votes ) based onOK up for Sale today we have my dads 1967 Chrysler New Yorker Coupe .
This car comes with Legendary 440 and is its factory Born C-440 Designation Engine . This is the engine with the Best performance heads factory fitted on a 440 for 1967 Only . The heads the racers used before alloy heads came out .
It is a Torqueflite 727 Transmission (Column Shift ). and the Big Boy 8-3/4 Large yoke and Pinion Diff being a 440 Powered Car .
According to the Fender Tag . It has Factory Air Con . Optional 15 Inch Wheels (normally 14s ) /Disc Brake Style Hubcaps . Power Windows . Green Tinted Glass . Rear Speaker . Big Boy 26 Inch Air Con Radiator and being 67 it has that gorgeous Deep Dish 3 Spoke Steering wheel .
The car is Spice Gold (ZZ1 Code) . Black Interior . Black Vinyl Top and is an Oregon car . so it been in a good environment all its life .
Only a couple of very minor rust spots .
Now for the reason the car is amazing Value ! The vinyl roof must have split at some stage. and the water has just sat on the foam padding and allowed corrosion to start across a good part of the roof . So bottom line is the car basically needs a fair amount of work to the Roof Skin . Its quite thin in spots and holy in others ! But not in the religious sense ! It has a few minor parking type dints . but all easily repaired .
Its was a daily driver for the guy I got it from in Oregon until a welsh plug in the head started to weep . so he stopped driving it .
This is easy to fix once the exhaust Manifold is removed . which is also easy and accessible on this car . I drove the car back from the shipping yard when I bought it in back in early 2013 . but has only been moved around a storage facility here and there since . But it still starts up great . moves and has brakes (bit soggy now ) .
It needs some trim work and headliner as can be seen and some electrical work like the elec windows etc. but all fixable if you are so minded .
All suspension and brake parts are easy to get and fit . These cars don't really have any inherent problems like GM and Ford cars that i've owned and are really good quality .
A great project for someone who is budget conscious . Its all there and with some TLC could be a driver again .
It has all the paperwork is in order in military like precision . and I have the original owners manual . certicard . nbsp; import approval . colour chips and a few spare parts . so its all above board and ready to find its new home .
Car is located in East Malvern in Melbourne and you can come just about anytime for a look . I can help with shipping the car anywhere in Australia
