Chequered Flag International is pleased to offer this 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo in Guards Red with Black interior.  

Delivered new in Huntington Beach California in 1979. the Porsche Heritage Certificate details Limited Slip Differential. Sports Seats and Passenger Door Mirror. Covering just  23. 71 miles from new this example has a documented history. there are countless receipts documenting service and repair. also sales contracts detailing ownership from 1979 right up to date. through a total of four owners.  

Finished in Guards Red 027 with black leather cockpit. reading the file of receipts documents that the paintwork was completely redone with a "windows out" repaint. panel fit is excellent. paint finish is superb and the sides are laser straight. in addition all rubber seals and trims were changed at this time. There are no stone chips or pitting to the nose. mirrors or front lower valnce. There is no rust anywhere on this car. the floor pans are unusually free of the usual dents from the less than cautious mechanics regularly found on these cars. Headlamps are H4s and turn signal lenses are of European specification.  

What makes this car special is that in 1979 it was taken to Garretson Developments and fitted with both a larger intercooler and Turbo charger and also variable boost adjustment in the cabin. by which you could turn up the turbos boost from the drivers seat. Garretson Developments was run by Bob Garretson. nbsp;a famous Porsche 935 racer who went on to win the '81 24 hours of Daytona. he was a renowned Turbo tuner back in the day. Garretson used his racing development technology to breathe even more power into the 930s.

The motor starts perfectly. it has been well serviced and looked after throughout its life.  the oil pressure is excellent with over 1 bar per 1000 rpm.

The four speed gearbox shifts well through the gate both up and down with no baulking or grinding. clutch is smooth in its operation.

Under the front hood is included the original compressor in its proper US spec cardboard box along with full toolkit and proper jack.

The interior is correct original leather. the sports seats are supple and there are no cracks or abrasions. dashboard is clean without the usual lifting at the outer edges. door panels and headliner are excellent. The previous owner fitted a Momo steering wheel (please note we are supplying an original wheel).
