The day has come to sell my 67 911S. VIN 307859S. so here she is. warts and all.   Mechanically speaking it's well sorted.   I personally rebuilt the motor about 10K miles ago (have receipts and photos). installed NOS IDS carbs. a NOS yellow tag dizzy. and converted to CDI ignition.   The transmission has been gone through with new synchros on all gears and shifts great.   New Koni's all around with upgraded torsion bars. sway bars. and Elephant adjustable spring plates (have the original torsion and sway bars).

It's an original Bahama Yellow car. repainted once in the 80's. a good single stage paint job at the time.   The engine number is 961552. but the original is 961565. so while not original it's incredibly close and is a proper 901/02 case.   Transmission is also a 901/02 type. don't know if it's original or not.

The interior seems to be fairly original except for the headliner. radio. and the headrests on the seats.   I'm not sure where the headrests came from. but they're not quite like the factory 356 style units that were available in 67.   Also worth noting. the passenger seat has the famous auto-recline feature. meaning when you step on the gas your wife sometimes ends up in the back seat.   Fortunately the driver seat does not do this.

Bodywise. it has misc rust in the sheet metal. but the panels are all very straight with excellent gaps and the doors shut with a nice solid sound.  The pans and suspension mounts are all original and in solid shape.   They have a fair amount of surface rust. but no rust through except around the jack receivers.   When I first acquired the car I did some amateur rust repair on several locations.   Most were coin size rust bubbles around the turn signals and rear window corners.   The only place serious was the bottom leg (2-3”) of the passenger fender. it was mostly swiss cheese. but is now fiberglass and bondo (I guess that's an improvement??)  The rest were repaired using a fiberglass filler  and then sprayed with single stage paint in a color that more or less matches.   If I were to keep the car I'd have all these areas redone by a good body man using proper metal patches. then blended in to the existing paint.   Also. the driver side rear was bumped before my ownership and shows some minor damage to the rear bumper (it's bent) and a small body crease above the rear wheel (hard to picture).

Now for the worst part. the hood is shot.   The underside of the front edge is total rot.   It latches fine. just don't look underneath. see pictures.

Some misc notes:  Car was Italian delivery originally. imported in the 80's.   It has Deep 15x6 fuchs on the back. 15x5. 5's on the front.   I have the original side mirror in a box somewhere.   Hood badge appears to be original.   Marchal Amplilux headlights. a neat feature.   The steering wheel is a leather 380mm RS style unit with the cool hockey puck. but I have the original 420mm with batwing. leather is toast on that one.   I have a proper front bumper wide deco stip.   It has a partial tool kit. but is not the original tools or tool case. jack appears to be the proper type.   Deep 6 spare.   Ride height is a bit low. was doing some autocrossing last year. so I'll adjust that up a bit.

I've owned this Porsche for 10 years and have enjoyed it immensely.    My wife and I have driven it coast to coast and even up to Canada once. approximately 10K miles in just those three trips.   I suppose it could be restored. but I sort of like it in it's. as used. somewhat rough condition.

I'm probably forgetting a lot of things. so just ask!
