Hg Monaro 1970
( It is not a Gts . It is a 1970 / 8th month Hg Monaro Family 1 of 1300 Built by Gm )

Daily driver . 186 Performance Block ( stock never been bored ) . fairly original besides the 5 speed gearbox . Original engine .

Had a make over of 120 Hours of body work that was done last year in may . this included 3 new floors - two new sills - 3/4 panel on the Lhs - a small area at the Rhs rear window . Two new windows front and rear . Everything has been rebuilt .

Gear box has a brand new clutch W50/51 Toyota box - flywheel was skimmed -  new throw out bearings . All the breaks were sorted and flushed in May with good break pads . New engine mounts and gearbox mount . pretty much Every single thing has been replaced so it could be used every day .

Engine has new coil - water pump - harmonic balancer - fully carbie overhaul . new Cain manifold - plugs - points - radiator - all a full gasket kit was put throw-out the engine - rota cap and so on .

New twin exhaust and I get asked often if its a 253 v8 I just smile / extractors . 'Single system turns into twin at the rear' is better described.

New suspension and lowering block . New steering box and pitman arm . The last road trip was a drive from Qld south side to Port Macquarie & back with no issues driving or overtaking .

Interior is in fair condition . and is untouched from standard besides from a cd player in the glove box . Dash ledge has a sun crack in it .

The Hg's original colour code is cashmere white . the paint on it now was done for the purpose of a patina barn find look in red/yellow oxide instead of driving around with patches of primer . where the work was completed . Under this the car is silver in colour . The wheels are Bathurst track wheels .

The panels were put in the car / treated with a solution & blasted  / sealed with seam sealer 527 / under the car was sealed then body deaden / The joints were cavity gun protected / body was primed / red oxide mixed with yellow and grey primers . You can sand it down are redo it you style with 400 .

The only rust left in the car is in boot next to the fuel tank ( small gap between the boot and the rail ) it was treated with POR and is not an issue as it is dead . The rest of the car was done by my dads friend in the Ahrf at $88per hour . And I have all photos available . on sale of the car bring a usb stick if you would like a copy .

The other bad point is that from first to second can bunny hop as I am still fiddling with the points . I did narrow it down to the cover valve suction pipe broken . Its on full rego and insured at Shannon's for 60$
I am selling un-rego but i am prepared to sell it for more with rego ! Due to needing a few tyres .

I am selling my Monaro because i am moving overseas next year. I own the car outright it is not encumbered or under any finance .
