For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. This smooth looking Mustang is powered by an even smoother 200 CI Inline 6 cylinder. The engine runs like a top and has plenty of power for this lightweight drop top. The car was fully restored in the early 2000s and has had an easy life since. The black exterior paint is still in great shape with a nice glossy finish. They've kept a clean look with no striping which is a refreshing departure from the norm. The power convertible top is black vinyl with a glass rear window. Inside is a beautiful red vinyl interior with buckets up front and a center console. This console has had the addition of cup holders which comes in handy on a summer cruise. The radio has been upgraded with a modern AM/FM unit which appears factory at first glance. There's just something beautiful about the simplicity of the first generation Mustangs. With a basic Inline six. this one will be easy on gas and even easier to maintain.
