We often get requests for lower dollar Broncos. Many owners like to be there to make the calls on things like paint & interior but don't want to have to fix up a rusty basket case. This Bronco is at a great starting point for a builder. Currently it is a runner and a driver and could easily be enjoyed as it is worked on. There are still many projects to do. but this is a very worth while Bronco that has plenty of room for some sweat equity!

The body is a solid one. There were the typical ‘pinholes' in the front floor pans so we replaced them with quality reproductions. We then stripped the whole floor and used a light spray in bedliner to coat and protect the floors. The window frame on the driver's door was replaced. The rockers were also replaced at some point prior to coming to us. So overall rust wise. this Bronco is leagues ahead of most of the Broncos on the road today.

Inside there isn't much to talk about. As mentioned above. the floors have been lined. A set of aftermarket bucket seats hold you in nicely and look good too. The factory column has been replaced by a later model factory tilt steering column. The heater cables all work properly too.

Under the hood the 302 fires up easily. It has an aluminum intake and a 4 barrel carburetor. It sounds great and runs well. We did not get any history on the engine from the previous owner. but the engine is a solid runner.

The 4 speed is a nice upgrade from the stock 3 speed when it comes time for off road use. This 4 speed has the compound low gear so crawling over obstacles is a breeze. The transfer case was replaced at the same time with a 205 unit. Both of these are the same units used in ¾ ton trucks so they will easily accept nearly any abuse a Bronco can throw at them.

The front Dana 44 was replaced with a Hi-Pinion set up complete with Disc Brakes. The 4. 56 front gears have not been swapped out yet. The 9” rear has 4. 11 ratio so the front driveshaft was removed. The rear shaft was recently replaced with a new unit. There is NO front driveshaft included with this. New units are commonly available for about $289 for a high quality new one.

The lift is a 4” suspension lift with an additional 2” of body lift. If you want a shorter lift. the body lift is a relatively easy removal. It will require the power brake brackets to tilt the booster over. but otherwise should take only a few hours to bring this one down 2 inches. There will still be plenty of room for the larger tires and off road fun. The radius arm mounting has been relocated to help this Bronco drive well. This is one of the best modifications you can do to a lifted Bronco.

This Bronco has power steering which really is a must have when your Bronco is lifted with larger tires.

The 35 x 12. 50” Goodyear MTR Tires and 17” XD Wheels have less than 100 miles on them. This is a high dollar set of rolling stock.
