MILEAGE: 95509 reading today. I think it is correct. but who really knows.

The pictures show the hood up a little on the back corner. I did not have it shut all the way. the last pictures with the top on show it shut!!!!!!!!!!!

UP FRONT discloser and time saver!!!!!!!!!! This is a good looking car. it has good looking paint. nice interior. it runs good. the 4 speed Muncie shifts good. the fiber glass is in good condition. the lights turn over. its a super nice drive and enjoy quality car. This is no 100 point roll out of the trailer show car. it is clean. pictures make all cars look cleaner than they really are. If your a purest it may not be for you the engine is not the one that the car was born with. but its a good running engine. the ignition is no the original. its up graded to electronic and the distributer has the tachometer option and it works. The carburetor is not original. it has a new Edelbrock 4 barrel that I think is much more drivable than the original. The hard top is in good condition. but the glass is scratched. nbsp;"the hardtop is super hard to put on these old cars. you may want to only run it in the winter". The convertible top is usable. but has on small punched hole that's patched. What I'm trying to tell you is this car is nice. its just not perfect and 100% original. If you want a 100 point show car to park and look at. this car is not for you. if you want a nice car to drive it could be for you. Its priced at a nice drive and enjoy quality price. nbsp;your not getting a $100. 00 car for $37. 00. Look at the others on ebay motors and the internet and compare.

MY REAL PRICE IS $37. 00!!!! That's what it take to buy the car on or off ebay motors. you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game. I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.

TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand with a VIN that matches the car. I will transfer it as a dealer. you will pay no fees or taxes unless you live in Tennessee. you pay taxes in your states.

HISTORY: I can only document some of this the rest is what the last owner told me. I can document that the lady I bought it from lived in Lenoir City. Tennessee. the title states that the last state the car was titled in was Tennessee. The lady said the car was sold in Florida. it was a fuel injection car. the engine was stolen and the carbureted engine was put in. The state of Florida replaced the VIN tag with a Florida issued one.

IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS?   Corvettes are fiberglass. so you have no body rust problems. the frame members are solid.

IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find and the title states none.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I'm a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car. I just fixed a few things.

IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? No on the engine part. it is a 327. but not the original.

PAINT:    I would consider the paint good. the car is straight when you look down the sides. it has a good shine. no fading or peeling. 1 touched up scratch on the drivers fender at the front nose and a couple of touched up chips. The paint is good. the top was not painted when the body of the car was painted because the last owner never used it and the paint is in very nice condition.

HARD-TOP: The paint is good on the hardtop. the rubber weather stripping is old. the back window is Plexiglas and has some bad scratches.  a good glass shop may be able to polish them out. but they are very noticeable. the chrome trim has dings. THE TOP IS HARD TO PUT ON. IT TAKES 2 MEN. IT BOLTS ON. ITS NO SNAP OR CLAMP ON TOP. ITS THE WAY CHEVROLET MADE IT. The top cover a couple of chips where the bracket bolts on. I had some touch up paint made that goes with the car. I did not want to touch it up and put the top right on because the paint may have stuck.

CONVERTIBLE TOP: Past owner left it down all the time. I think that's the way this car looks the best. It has a tiny punched hole that is patched from the underside.

CHROME:      The chrome and other bright work is nice. bumper super good with no dulling or pitting. the emblems very nice.

INTERIOR:   No smoke smell. the seat covers are good. the carpet usable with no real wear. but a little discoloring. The dash pad good. the door panels good. but not perfect. the drives side has a little rubbed place on the top back corner.

UNSERSIDE:    Solid. but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show.   I had a car on my overhead rack and did no take pictures today. I will take a couple tomorrow and post them.

GLASS:    The side glasses roll up and down good. the windshield good. but has a faint wiper mark.

ENGINE:    Engine runs good! Its a 1968 327 cubic inch. the engine casting numbers are 3914660. It has no knocks. no rattles. no bad blue smoke. no bad oil leaks. the carburetor is  a new  Edelbrock. the distributor electronic with the tachometer option.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  Good used condition!

TRANSMISSION:   It is a 4 speed manual transmission. looks like a Muncie to me. the synchronizers seem good. the clutch smooth.

REAR-END:     It has no bearing noises. no growls. it looks like the original. I have not checked the gear ratio. but it feels like the factory ratio. good for power and street. I can check it if you want me to.

BRAKES:  Drums all around and they stop good for the brakes of that day.

STEERING:   The cars drives very good. it not power steering.

WHEELS AND TIRES:    Original steel wheels with the factory hub caps the are good.

LIGHTS:     They work. turn signals work. headlights work. tail lights work. brake lights work.

GUAGES:   Gas gauge works. the oil works. the temp gauge works. the amp gauge needle is calibrated wrong (the needle giggles). the tachometer works. the speedometer works.  

WIPERS WORK! Horn is not working!

HIDE-AWAY-HEADLIGHTS: They work Ok right now. but Chevrolet built them  sort of junky.  Good after market mechanisms are available. nbsp;I think Retro Electric makes more modern electronic replacement components.

HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit?    I think the doors fit and open very good. the hood and trunk fit good. the doors have to be closed hard because of new weather stripping.

WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home. I just test drive them and drive them some around town. but I do think this car would drive anywhere. I did change the oil. the rear axle grease and the coolant.

DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No!

 WHAT WOULD I DO TO THE CAR IF I KEPT IT? I like white lettered tires. so I would put a new set on. I would replace the headlight motors with modern ones when they break. I would buy a nice set of custom floor mats. I would never put the hard top on "I would sell it. they demand big money".

WHY DON'T I FIX EVERYTHING: It runs the cost up and I have too many projects started. Have you every had a classic car that a 100% of everything works?

Paid inspectors are unpredictable. you might get a good one. but lots of them do not impress me at all. they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking. but I think you should come look yourself.   I don't like paid inspectors. I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear. don't hit the buy now button and then inspect. come inspect first. I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector!
