The Delta 88 still was the top dog in terms of trim level although the option of a more expensive Delta 88 Custom was made available. In terms of engines. the Delta 88s were equipped with a 330 or a 425. the latter being the source of go for this vehicle as it is a convertible. Yes indeed. this Oldsmobile carries a Super Rocket 425 CID V8 capable of producing 300 HP. The bay in which this healthy motor sits retains its stock appearance especially with a hood insulation pad that adds to the originality of the vehicle.
While this Delta 88 does not wear its original paint. it has been refreshed with a nice coat of GM Victory Red that pairs beautifully with the all new white automatic convertible top! A nice set of chrome Oldsmobile wire wheels and white wall tires really conveys the class that this vehicle boasts both in rest and motion. Cruising down the highway feels like riding a cloud and the 425 CID big block engine coupled with a 3-speed automatic make driving this vehicle a dream. As you are driving. you’ll be sure to take note of the stunning maroon interior that has been completely restored to its former glory. The comfortable bench seats really do feel like you’re in your living room. as many likened these larger car’s seats to couches back in the day!
