It's that time of year. Drop the top and cruise. What we have here is a very solid California 1966 Mustang convertible. It has the straight 6 cylinder 200 ci motor and a manual transmission. This is a driver quality car that you will have a blast in. The car is located just a few miles from Annapolis MD in the 21666 zip code. Below you will read everything i know about the car. The car sat for an unknown amount of time. The car still has the smell of old gas in it. but since adding 7 gallons of fresh fuel. cleaning the carburetor and a new battery she purrs like a singer showing machine. She has power steering. power brakes and a power top.
PLEASE READ IT ALL AND YOUR QUESTIONS MIGHT BE ANSWERED

-The body-Is completely rust free except what you see on the floor pans. Minor surface rust which would brush off. This is incredibly rare for a 50 year old car. All frames and floors and trunk pans are solid. The paint is what I would call "driver quality". It could use a clay bar and a buffer. It is a single stage paint so it should show some gloss. 50% has some fading. 50% shines. The paint does have some small chips here and there and some thin spots from being covered. No significant or noticeable dents and maybe a ding here or there. All of the chrome and bright work is in good condition. The power convertible top is in great shape and operates perfectly.  All windows go up and down but the drivers window needs help being held straight when being rolled down. Coming up it's ok. Easy fix behind the door panel. All of the glass is in good shape.  
-Drive Train-As noted earlier. the car sat for an unknown amount of time. It had some bad gas in it. but I have added about 7 gallons of high test in it and have burnt most of the old away. You can still smell some old gas. When the car is cold. the alternator wants to squeal for a a minute or two. It does go away once warm. but the bearings in the alternator may be starting to go bad from sitting. It charges fine. I'd just replace it. The car runs. drives and stops nicely. It has anew clutch from 2010 with only a few hundred miles put on it since then. The motor is spunky for a 6 cylinder and runs very quiet.
-Suspension and tires- The suspension has some new bushings on the front end. It does not float when driving. Hardly a squeak. The brakes work fine. but are unknown pad thickness. The rims are driver quality and so so looking. The tires all hold air. have tread but has some minor cracking in between the treads. I'd consider putting tires on it before any long trips. The frame at the rear leaf spring attachment point is a problematic area and this Mustang's are perfect.
-Interior- The interior I would rate a 7. 5 or 8 out of 10. The dash. gauges and bezels are all in great shape. The carpet shows minor wear. The door panels are in good shape and might use a a cleaning. The drivers seat has a tear. All other seats are in good shape as you can see in the photos. The chrome interior trim at the top of the windshield has some minor surface corrosion and could be replaced by removing 6 screws. Simple fix and would make it look better.
