Seller's notes: From time to time great pieces of Australian motoring history comes up for sale and after 31 years of ownership his 1982 Ford Fairmont ESP I have decided to sell.Sold new from Peter Warren Fairfield in 1982, the original owner upgraded the engine from a 4.1 litre Alloy Head 6 to 5.8 litre high performance V8 - all professionally done by Aussie muscle cars in Sydney adding a stage II cam and Holly 650 four barrel carburetor- slated to be a "Brock Killer" against the competing Holden VH SS Group 3 Commodores of the era and As the 2nd owner, I purchased the car in 1986.This vehicle presents in original condition, painted in orange over charcoal duco, fitted with scheel seats, velour trim, Gold Snowflake alloy wheels, driving lights and aunger louvre with 105,035 original kms.The interior is in excellent condition, good exterior paint and no known rust issues.Verification letter from Ford Australia confirms the originality of this car.

As the 2nd owner. I purchased the car in 1986.
This vehicle presents in original condition. painted in orange over charcoal duco. fitted with scheel seats. velour trim. Gold Snowflake alloy wheels. driving lights and aunger louvre with 105. 35 original kms.
The interior is in excellent condition. good exterior paint and no known rust issues.
Verification letter from Ford Australia confirms the originality of this car.

This vehicle represents a time and piece of history when Ford Australia was withdrawing from the V8 market winding up production of V8 powered vehicles at the end of 1982.

XE ESPs fitted with the 5. 8-litre engine were only officially offered with the four-speed manual gearbox. but at least one auto is believed to have been built.
The most common engine/tranny combination was a 4. 9-litre V8 with three-speed auto (260 built) against 100 manuals.
About 200 of the 4. 1-litre cars are believed to have been made. leaving a confirmed 178 four-speed 5. 8-litre units to complete a production total of about 740.
