1985 was the last year Mercedes built the gorgeous 123 series turbo diesel coupe . They made these legendary cars between 1978 and 1985 . but only for the last 4 years with the turbo version . They are known to be the most reliable and enduring cars Mercedes Benz ever produced . You often find them with over 500k miles and still running well . With 195k miles on this 32 year old classic it is well broken in and running terrific.  
This particular car was finished in nautical blue with tan interior . A couple of years ago it received a high quality re-paint in the original color. Everything was taken off the car including the front and back windows. There was some clear-coat fading and now it looks gorgeous again. There are no dings dents or scratches and i get compliments every time i take it out.  
The interior is very nice all together with only a couple of wear spots and a small tear on the back seat . The front seats are nice. the carpets are clean and even the wood panels are still in wonderful condition. It is a very stunning car and it really sticks out .  
By far the best thing about this 300CD is the way way it still drives after 32 years. It has always been well maintained and it shows. Just recently we went through the Air conditioning system . We had a new compressor installed and the system converted to the newer style R134 freon . The AC works well and blows cold. This 300CD has great pick up and the transmission shifts smooth through all the gears. It is truly fun to drive and i would not hesitate to take it on any long distance trip at a moments notice. You can comfortable cruise at 85 miles an hour and still get 27 mpg of diesel.  The vacuum system works the way it should and so does the sunroof . All the power windows work . even though the ones in the back are a bit slow. The radio only works sometimes . but this would be an easy fix with a newer unit.  
Please have your funding in order and do all your "due diligence" BEFORE placing a bid . I would prefer to sell this car locally to somebody who could actually come by and see it/appreciate it. But i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements or an airport pick up ( LAX) for out of town buyers. ( all funds would have to be cleared before the release of the vehicle. )
