Gauging interest in the sale of my beloved mini due to lack of use & now built looking at another project. a 1380cc race tuned mini. which i've owned on and off for approximately 13 years. rebuilt over a period of a year in 2011-12 & also competed in two local Class 'C1' hillclimbs in 2012.
Specs of the car are:
Bodyshell: 1988 F-Reg Mini Mayfair. rust free & solid. original sills. resprayed in 2011 in Peugeot Green Verde. front/rear 6 point bolt in rollcage. with steel support plates welded to mount points on shell for hillclimb regs. Plated closing panels for rear parcel shelf. Polycarb rear windows. Fibreglass bonnet. Cobra Monaco 'S' seats with 6 point harnesses. Interior stripped. Removable bootlid.
Engine: 1380cc. Omega pistons. race head. 35/29 valves  (originally ground by Withy Race Engineering. Bromsgrove). tufrided. x-drilled. wedged crank (on std/std grind).  VP8C cam. belt drive. Steel flywheel & backplate. dry decked. front mounted rad. Miglia style breather system. 4 solid engine steadies (rose jointed uppers). Denso small alternator.
Transmission: Glebe 4 speed s/cut dog box. 1:1 s/cut drop gears. 4 pin tranex diff. centre oil pickup. Internally mounted gear linkage. Grey clutch diaphragm. bonded rally clutch plate. 3. 9:1 Semi-helical final drive.
Fuelling: Weber DCOE 45. K&N filter. in-tank injection fuel pump & tank assembly. pressure regulator underbonnet. 7" Maniflow inlet. Heat wrapped maniflow LCB exhaust manifold to single box maniflow system.
Ignition/Wiring: Full 3D mappable Megajolt ignition system. complete with TPS sensor. ECU mounted in-car. (Will supply ECU leads and software to remap on suitable PC/laptop. Hand-built wiring loom for entire car. including PC constructed wiring diagram. Custom built dash.
Suspension/Brakes: Gaz adjustable shock absorbers. genuine Hi-lo's. 1. 5deg neg camber lower arms. adjustable heavy duty tie rods. Minispares comp rubber bushes. Adjustable camber rear brackets. 4 pot Metro turbo front disc setup. EBC black stuff pads. minifin rear drums. Minator 6x13 alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tyres.
Engine was rolling roaded a few years ago and produced (on a distributor set-up) 134bhp at the flywheel. at Hi-Tec rolling road in West Mids. Engine was completely rebuilt along with the shell in '11. new bearings/rings/oil pump/gaskets.  The ignition map has been set-up on the road and the car pulls as well as ever. no smoke.  The car is always kept garaged and dry.
I have spent great time and money in rebuilding the car to it's current state. therefore I'd like to see it go to a good home. to someone with keen interest in mini's or hillclimbing/sprints. perhaps with a view continue to use as a street car. or complete the conversion to a full hillclimb motor. I'm in no hurry to sell.
