1986 Chevrolet C4 Corvette. L98 5. 7L V8 TPI Auto in Code 81 bright Red with matching red interior and factory black acrylic top.

Tax runs until 30th April 2014. MOT until May 22nd 2014. Current mileage is 131. 20 (this will increase as it's used regularly).

This car is a Z51 optioned C4. which is the 'Performance Handling Package' and includes 16 x 9. 5" alloys. heavy-duty suspension and fast steering ratio. (I have the full. decoded RPO list if anyone would like details of all the original options). Unfortunately. my circumstances have changed and I need to sell my Corvette. I've not owned it long but since April. the car has had a full service. with the fitment of a new battery. new front discs and pads all round. plus a new wheel bearing on the rear. I have also managed to source the correct spare wheel. wheel brace and jack. plus the roof removal ratchet and a missing storage bin. The locking wheel nut 'key' is also present. There is a folder of previous receipts and paperwork. including the original US title. and a DVD containing Owners and Workshop manuals.

The car starts first time & runs well. the gearbox changes as it should. and the brakes have been fully refurbished and work well. Both headlights flip instantly and electric windows work (passenger side is a little slow. probably lack of use). All tyres look recent and the exhaust boxes look almost new. The car is fitted with a Kenwood KDC-7024 flip front CD/Radio with the original Bose speakers.

The paintwork overall is fine for a road car but it's not going to win any prizes. There are a few faded patches and a small patch of lacquer lifted on one rear wing. There's the odd chip that's been touched up. and there's the usual chips etc to the front bumper. Similarly. the alloys are in good condition. but would benefit from a thorough clean or refurb. Overall. the interior really is quite good with the exception of the seats where the leather has gone a bit brittle and cracked. The passenger seat isn't too bad and even the driver's seat is quite useable (see photo). Had I kept the car. it was my intention to buy a set of CoverKing covers from the States. The driver's seat has the full power option and it all works. The 'Low coolant' sensor is faulty & comes on intermittently (coolant level checked and is fine). also cruise control isn't working and the a/c isn't very cold.

Oh. and the underside of the bonnet has been signed by no less than 3 Le Mans Team Corvette drivers. Oliver Gavin #50. Kelly Collins #50 and Frank Freon #53!
