SELLING MY 1960 FORD CONSUL HOTROD

(FOR DEFINITE THIS TIME!)

Finally decided to sell my beloved ford consul. there's  a new home in mind. /strong>

The specs of car are:

Allsteel body with door key holes smoothed over. rear halved and mini tubbed to accomodate 10x15" cragar drag lite wheels all fabrication work carried outby REALITY HOTRODS in the mid nineties.

Volvodisc brake back axle on chrome ladder bars narrowed by Hauser racing fittedwith 3. 73 gears. moser shafts and Detroit Trutrac atb diff and new calipers and coilovers.

Front crossmember modified from 2. 8 Capri with bilstein coilovers power steering rack vented discs and calipers front wheels 6x15 cragar drag lites

Remoteelectric front brake lock out

Engine 350 chevy cast No 3970010 high nickel block standard bore 2 bolt main (don't let them fool you 2 bolt main engines are still good for 7000rpm the weak spoton chevy's is the rods not the bottom end!)

Eagle Esp 4340 forged crankshaft

ScatI-beam forged connecting rods safe to 750hp

Speedpro (TRW) forged pistons with teflon skirts 9. 5-1 cr

ArpMain. connecting and head bolts

Mellinghigh volume high pressure oil pump with hardened drive shaft 80 psi pressure above 2500 rpm minimum 25 psi hot at idle

Chromebig wing sump with anti surge trap doors

Mocalsandwich plate with 16 row mocal oil cooler

Cloyestrue roller timing set

Compcams Magnum 286h single pattern street strip cam . 490/490. 286 deg dur @ . 50

Compcams hydraulic lifters

Edelbrock Performer rpm aluminium cylinder heads with 2. 02 inlet 1. 60 exhaust. 72cc chambers. guide plates edelbrock valve springs capable of . 550 lift

Sanderson stainless shorty headers leading to dual 2. 5" stainless rear exit exhausts fitted with Edelbrock performer rpm stainless mufflers but still loud!

Holley 3310 vac secondary 750cfm carburettor with re-usable float bowl gaskets and quick change secondary spring kit carb new last year

Stainless steel fuel tank fitted with Mallory 110gph electric fuel pump

Alloywater pump with flex fan connected to alloy radiator with supplementary 16" electric manually operated fan

Malloryunilite electronic distributer with Mallory Hyfire cdi ignition box and blasterss coil

Enginehas only done 2500 miles since built

Reallynice strong engine with an amazing lopey idle

Coverted to electric wiper/washer with bottle relocated to boot

Rear window trim needs reffiting after being removed for painting

Doorlocks work from inside but should really have a central locking kit fitted for security (never bothered me)

Cragardrag lite alloy wheels 6 x15 front with continental 185-65-15 rear 10x15 draglites with 295-50-15 hercules only a few hundred miles

CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. NO RUST ANYWHERE AND NO WELDING UNDERNEATH (APART FROM THE STRENTHENING AND REAR HALVING) BUT PLEASE REMEMBER IT IS 53 YEARS OLD THERE ARE STILL A FEW THINGS NEEDING DOING (CARPET. CENTRAL LOCKING AND FRONTCALIPERS ARE STARTING TO SIEZE DUE TO LACK OF USE)

PROBABLY MISSED OUT LOADS OF STUFF THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER I HAVE A FOLDER FULL OF RECEIPTS ETC THIS CAR IS STANDING ME IN EXCESS OF 25K BUT NEEDS TO GO ONCE AND FOR ALL .

I SPENT £1300 GETTING THE PAINT SORTED OUT LAST YEAR AND HAVE NEVER USED IT SO TIME TO GO AT WHAT I THINK IS A REASONABLE START.
