Originally supplied from the Stuttgart factory as a 3. 2 litre
Carrera in 1984. it was latterly owned from 1993 by Porsche
specialist and successful Porsche racing driver. Mark Sumpter or
Paragon before passing on to Mark King of Stuttgart Connections
whereupon it underwent its 964 conversion. It was then acquired in
2009 by the vendor with the intention of producing a fast-road or
'Track-day' car.

As the project got underway. the extensive Waxoil was stripped
back revealing an extremely sound car. All panels and interior were
removed as was the engine and gearbox (both of which were
re-built). All mechanical. electrical. exhaust and the instillation
of a (rear) roll-cage were undertaken by Rennspeed. Porsche
specialists in Lincolnshire and genuine steel wings and bonnet were
installed. It is at this stage that the vendor departed from the
standard retrograded RS and addressed the heating system. All fans
and electrics were removed with weight-saving in mind. A manual
version was then installed with transmission tunnel mounted manual
levers controlling feeds to the cockpit and windscreen. Simple and
effective. Correct Southbound-supplied light-weight carpets were
fitted with RS door panels and two BF Torino Rally Seats.

The engine and gearbox were then also re-fitted complete with a
stainless steel SSI exhaust system. new clutch. mounts. sensors and
cables. The wheels have been re-furbished and fitted with new
Continental tyres and the body painted to the extremely high
quality you see here today. With bills totalling over £21. 00
excluding the cost of the car. it was felt that it was it was just
too good for pounding round the the tarmac on track-days. This
profound example has been extremely well considered. well built and
sounds fabulous. Complete with a comprehensive history file
containing numerous invoices. owner's manual. V5C registration
documents and a full 12 months MoT test certificate. you can
instantly recreate those heady days when Porsche and Martini Racing
won the Targa Florio together.
