This Lincoln was purchased new in Jefferson city MO and driven by the original owner until 1935 when it was stored on blocks with a bad front wheel bearing and worn brake drums. It had less than 60K miles on the odometer. I purchased the Lincoln in 1988 from the owner's estate. It was 100% original and complete but needed restoration; there was no indication of any significant accidents; the original wood was excellent. but one piece needed replacement; there was no rust damage. It had it's original Rudge-Whitworth wire spoke wheels. a fat man steering wheel. a Loraine spot light. a fitted trunk with 3-fitted suit cases. and dual rear mounted spares. All damaged parts were replaced and each part including the engine. transmission and rear end were rebuilt and cosmetically restored to original standards. Work was completed in 1990 and I showed the car with the AACA where it won it's First Junior. First Senior. First Grand National and with the Lincoln Owner's Club where it won Best Closed Model “L” at the 75th Lincoln Anniversary meet in Dearborn MI. I then drove the car for several years.

In 2007. I upgraded the engine trim. installed leather spring gaithers. relaced the Rudge Whitworth wire wheels with new stainless spokes; refinished the inlaid wood trim; replaced the running board covers and trim; rebuilt the clutch. water pump. gas tank. clock (it still runs only when it wants to). and speedometer; applied UVIRA coatings on all light reflectors; repainted the hood aprons and splash aprons; and re-plated many pieces of external trim. After this work. it won it's class at the CCCA Grand Classic with a score of 99. 5; in 2010 it won it's class again at the CCCA Grand Classic with a score of 99. 75 (Premier award). In 2012 it won it's AACA Senior Grand National in Shelbyville (score required 395-400). Since it was refreshed. the Lincoln has been driven less that 200 miles and remains the finest early Lincoln available! It currently has only 66976 miles on the odometer (believed correct) and is stored in a climate conditioned garage.

This history has been given to show that an original car was given a careful and complete restoration. Then. repeated judging has demonstrated that it is authentic. correct. and show worthy. It starts quickly. is completely operational and road capable with good steering and brakes. It does not leak or over heat. You will not be disappointed.

My investment in the purchase and restoration exceeds $120K. but health and age dictate that I sell the car. Today's market value is  $60-$70K based on published price guides ($40K for condition 2-3) and auction premiums awarded for show standards and correct period accessories. So. a price of $49900 is a great price for such a great car! I invite you to compare price and condition to other Lincolns listed on e-Bay. in Hemmings. or elsewhere.
