I have reluctantly decided to sell my Mercedes 230e which must be one of the nicest examples in the country. It has a genuine mileage of only 41489 miles and this is reflected in the overall condition of the car. The interior. exterior and underside of the car is in superb near concours standard condition and she turns heads where ever she goes. She drives like a brand new car. quiet and smooth with silky smooth gearchange from the automatic gearbox.

Exterior colour is in Brilliant Silver metallic and body work is in superb condition showing no signs of rust anywhere. The underside of the car is also in superb condition. I have had it up on a ramp for inspection at Mercedes Benz of Cambridge and was told it is cleaner underneath than cars only a couple of years old.

The Grey Leather Interior is also in suberb condition. showing no signs of wear anywhere with unmarked walnut wood trims and still fitted with the original Blaupunkt Paris radio cassette player. First aid kit in unused in the rear parcel shelf.

 HISTORY
Shipped from the Sindelfingen plant in Germany on 11th December 1991 she was collected by her first owner from Maloney and Rhodes in Cambridge on 9th January 1992. She remained in his possesion until his death where it was then left to his neice who put it into storage for a few years unused. Then sold to its former keeper who owned it for 3 years and only put a further 1500 miles on the clock. I was then lucky enough to purchase the car in May this year having driven past it everyday on my way to work and always admiring it as I drove past. If I could keep it I would as it is such a nice car but I only really have enough space for one classic Mercedes and as I already own a 230ce it is with great reluctance that I have decided to sell her. Everyone tells me to keep it and sell my coupe and who knows I might change my mind and do just that as this is even cleaner than the coupe but with much lower mileage. So if anyone is serious about buying her be quick before I change my mind. And I might just do that.

The car comes with a great history file including the original purchase invoice for £29207. 37 The original Datacard. Pre Delivery Check Sheet in envelope and original purchase letter to first owner from Maloney and Rhodes. There are five sets of keys for the car including the secondary and chauffer keys in their original pouch. There is also two locking wheel bolt keys. riginal toolkit in plastic bag and the original document wallet with instruction booklets. Alas the original service book has been lost but I have sourced a duplicate service book and had it stamped with the documented service hisory from Robinsons Mercedes Benz of Cambridge which was formerly Vardy Continental and before that Maloney and Rhodes. So all service work has been carried out by the original supplying dealer. Although they could only stamp what was on their current computer records so early service history is lost. Also included are mot's and service invoices which back up mileage.

Since my ownership I have replaced all 5 tyres with brand new Goodyear Efficientgrip 195/65R15 as per the specification of tyres it shows on Datacard when supplied from Factory. I have also replaced both the front and rear bumper rails as they were slightly marked and replaced the front wiperblade and bonnet star and also replaced the under bonnet soundproofing as this was perished. All using genuine Mercedes parts.

If you want one of the best 124's in the country then look no further. this is it. Any inspection is welcome as you wont be dissapointed. If you know anything about the 124 series you dont need me to tell you how good these cars are. if you dont then all you need to know is that these are bullet proof over engineered cars built at the pinnacle of Mercedes quality. When they say they dont build them like that anymore. it's true.
