Porsche 928 S2 (86.5)

For sale my Porsche  1986   928 S2  (86. 5 model)  Auto. This car is a cut above the average 928's you mostly see. so if you are looking for cherished classic to enjoy read on. Grand Prix White with white and black leather interior as the photos. Paint & exterior is excellent. not perfect though. after all it is 26 years old.  A couple of minor paint bubbles. one on the front wing (photo) and another on rear window edge and a few minor chips. Other than that it looks stunning. Alloy wheels have recently been referbed. The interior again looks more like a car 5 years old. leather has a slightly worn patina but no splits or cracks etc. . vinyl and all other finishes are good. The Mechanicals are all sound virtually every thing works (even the aircon !). The drivers boot release is a bit temperamental and as always on early 928's the headlight adjusters don't work ( nobody tries to fix these as unusually for Porsche its a rubbish design and just packs in again). It has been regularly services. not all Porsche but it has had an oil change and a service  almost every year of it's life.   There are lots of records and I can send a summary if anyone wants it. It has only 78 k miles on the clock and there are enough service records and MOT's to verify this. It did about 30k  miles in it's first two years then after that only a  couple of thousand  or less a year. This is where you normally get a long list of what's been fixed on the car over the years or by its despondent current owner. but with this car the low but regular usage and regular servicing mean that very little has gone wrong or needed to be fixed. From the records the only things of significance have been:- 07  Fan coupling/sensor 08  Body repair front wing ( minor accident) 11  Water pump replaced  (only as a precaution when cam belts done) 12  Partial respray front wing & bumpers ( for cosmetics only) 13  Radiator recon  (small leak but proper job done rather than radweld) Of course this is not to say things won't ever go wrong. after all it's a car and 26 years old but its history  is better than most. The electricals are a bit temperamental on the 928's and most years something minor packs in but I have always managed to sort it myself  with a bit of fiddling (part of the joy of classic car ownership !) Tax till  Sep 13   Mot till  Oct 928 personalized  number plate sold with the car  ( worth a few hundred in it's self) Not one of the cheapest  928's you will see  but it's a good one  and they are getting rare. I have had it for  4 years but the midlife crisis has passed and time to move on.
