FOR SALE: A striking Burgundy 420SL.

This is a lovely example of the R107 420SL with only 93k miles and 3 previous owners. With a few minor cosmetic jobs it could be made excellent.

The body is finished in a striking deep burgundy that makes for a great combination with the cream leather. The paintwork has a deep shine and the current owner had the front end repainted a few years ago to get rid of any stone chips. The rest of the paint is very good with only a couple of minor blemishes. All of the chrome is excellent as is the rest of the plastic and rubber trim. The alloys could do with a refurb but are all shod in Goodyear tyres.

This is a highly specified car with heated leather seats. air conditioning. cruise control and a wind deflector. The interior is in good condition with no damage cracks or stains. The air conditioning was fully overhauled a few years ago but would now benefit from a re-gas. The soft top was replaced in 2009 and remains in excellent condition.

The car comes with an impressive history file and has only had 3 previous keepers. The history is all Mercedes main dealer (14 stamps) till 2003 when the car had done 65k miles. Since being in the current owners possession it has been serviced by his company ‘Wragg Engineering'. Other recent work includes new rear shocks and new front discs and pads.
