1966 S Type Jaguar Sedan suitable for a full or partial restoration. very solid car
Has a little rust in both lower quarter panels. and surface rust in engine bay in the vicinity of the brake and clutch master cylinder. (see pics)
Has dent in front lower l/h corner. (see pic).
Interior is 99 percent complete and leather is dry but intact and complete. including door cards. would come up well with some conditioning. Roof lining appears to be excellent.
Timber is complete but will need re varnish.
Engine is SEIZED and will not turn over at all. all brakes are free but has no pedal. only hand brake works.
This is a legitimate BARN FIND. Purchased it from a property and was told that car was running when parked but had been parked up due to the engine developing a knock. Appears to have been last registered in 1988. nearly 30 years ago
Also believed to have been in one ownership while it was being used but couldn't even begin to try and verify this as being the case.
In my view the car could have the engine and brakes done and be used as a survivor car quite easily. paint still develops a nice of shine that comes up with a polish and the only rust that needs immediate attention is on the lower corners of the rear quarters.
Alternatively. a full restoration could be undertaken. You would have an excellent starting point. really solid bones so to speak. Not to be confused with a "cut and polish and register" car. This will require some work to bring back to pristine condition.
