An original 1969 Camaro Convertible 396 (6. 5 litre V8) which has had three owners since being imported into the UK in 1997. The last American owner purchased the car in 1991 and it was then restored both mechanically and cosmetically to a show car condition. During this period the engine was rebuilt. new steel panels fitted. new chrome. uprated suspension with Monroe shocks and new interior trim. The history file with the car includes receipts from 1992-1997 totaling $4500 and from 1999-2007 for over £1000. as well as a copy of the 1991 Massachusetts Certificate of Title.

The Camaro was introduced in September 1966 for the 1967 Model Year. with a choice of Coupe or Convertible bodywork and straight 6 or V8 engines. For the 1969 Model Year the exterior was redesigned featuring a V shape grille with inset headlights and new external panels with the exception of the hood and trunk lid. carried over from the earlier model. This revised styling lasted through to November 1969. prior to the introduction of the 1970 second generation Camaro.
