Cars like the 1932 Ford Hi Boy never go out of fashion; and when it comes to being a street rod owner. there's no time like the present! Virtually anyone with big ambition and an even bigger checkbook can build a completely custom classic with killer good looks and ground pounding performance. But. if you're an astute enthusiast who doesn't want to dive off the deep end and spend half your kid's college fund. RK Motors Charlotte has you covered. This intense '32 Ford Hi Boy is a professionally built cruiser that mixes the best attributes of a 'velvet rope and red carpet' showpiece with the streetability of a well-tuned muscle car. Beneath its crowd gathering body. you'll find a reliable V8. a stalwart 3-speed transmission and a whole lot of other top notch hardware that makes its $49. 00 list price even more unbelievable than its custom orange paint. If you're looking for a fully-sorted street rod that mixes classic good looks with modern road manners. you've found your next car!

When you set your sights on creating a top-notch roadster. you have to start with a team of professionals who know a little bit about building cool cars. And when this slick '32 Ford's owner decided to build his ultimate dream rod. he immediately contacted the pros at Wooding's Auto Body in Roanoke. Virginia. Their project began with a steel-reinforced Bebop fiberglass body that's lined with an Oak-reinforced interior. That stunning body's smooth vertical panels and arrow-straight profile were block-sanded into Kansas-flat surfaces and covered in a striking coat of custom Hugger paint. That bright orange basecoat was sealed in a through layer of clearcoat and wet-sanded. buffed and polished to a head turning shine. And today. with only sunny summer miles on its fully-sorted build. this awesome Hi Boy has the kind of unique style and eye-popping appeal that'll drop jaws anywhere it goes!

Everything on this slick Ford is exceptionally well-done. and the car has just the right amount of detail to turn heads and create a lasting impression. At the front of its body. Hugger Orange frame horns hold a polished spreader bar below a spotless stainless grille. hidden turn signals and chrome tri-bar headlights. At the top of that grille. a one-piece Rootlieb hood runs to a chopped windshield that's accented by a heavy chrome frame and small stainless mirrors. At the sides of that hood. a characteristically clean and simple profile presents shaved door handles. hidden door hinges and uninterrupted form. And at the back of that profile. a small. Cool Cap fuel filler rides above custom. Pontiac-style tail lights and a chrome tag bracket. It's hard to miss a classic Ford roadster. and this car has an identity all its own thanks to a cohesive theme. careful workmanship and exceptional attention to detail.

For the benefit of both reliability and performance. traditional street rods often feature souped-up versions of proven powertrains; and the 355 cubic inch small block V8 under this Ford's small steel hood mixes ample power and excellent drivability. At the top of the hot black mill. a large Holley 780 carburetor integrates oxygen from a billet air cleaner. which is complete with a big. re-usable filter element. into a steady stream of fuel that travels through a coated Holley pump. polished stainless lines and a small pressure gauge. At the base of that carburetor. a polished Edelbrock tunnel ram rides between billet. ball-milled valve covers. rebuilt. roller tip heads and a Competition hydraulic camshaft. At the back of that intake. a traditional points distributor shoots spark through high quality Taylor plug wires. At the sides of that distributor. stunning jet hot headers swirl spent gases into a great sounding. true-dual exhaust system. At the front of those headers. chrome pulleys spin a chrome alternator. which is complete with a chrome. speed-drilled bracket. above a polished cast crank and forged 9 to 1 pistons. And in front of that alternator. a large electric puller fan spins around what appears to be a high quality Walker radiator. In accordance with its fully detailed exterior. nothing was missed under the hood of this sharp '32 Ford. And everything from the clean engine's stainless accelerator cable and Southern Rod wiring to its chrome oil pan and chrome-covered motor mounts is fully sorted and ready to go!

Under this roadster's well-planned and professionally executed powerplant you'll find a whole catalogue of custom performance parts that mix great visual aesthetics with excellent driving dynamics. For starters. a chrome Super Bell I-beam front suspension. which is complete with Pete & Jake's Viper hair pins. combines with a traditional solid axle rear suspension. which features chrome coil over shocks. to produce modern ride and handling characteristics. At the center of that first-rate chassis. a high quality Outlaw frame hangs a tweaked Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed between a chrome pan. a chrome flywheel cover and a custom Ford rear end that's stuffed with 3. 25 Traction-Lok innards. Quick stops are provided by a nice combination of Wilwood discs and traditional drums. Tight turning and easy parking comes courtesy of a Flaming River Vega steering box that's hooked to a chrome pitman arm via Flaming River joints. A killer soundtrack is provided by an aluminum. true-dual exhaust system that's equipped with custom mufflers. Torque splits the asphalt thanks to chrome American Racing Torq Thrust IIs which spin 165R15 Ultra-Techs and 33x12. 50R15 Regul Trailblazers around polished dust shields and flush valve stems. And details like high quality stainless hardware and a 16 gallon fuel tank highlight the car's top notch form with excellent function.

Inside this awesome '32 Hi Boy 'simple' is the name of the game as a spectacular Desert Tan interior creates a fun and stylish contrast to the car's bright orange body. At the center of that body. pleated leather buckets are firm. provide good support and feature sturdy lap belts. In front of those seats. a bright orange dash hangs classy Auto Meter gauges above Southern Air heat and a small accessory plug. At the sides of that dash. custom. soft touch panels hang small billet knobs above Bebop bear claw latches. Below those panels. high quality carpet. which flows from a custom firewall cover to a nifty hideaway umbrella holder. anchors color-keyed mats between billet pedals and a small fire extinguisher. In front of the driver. a polished Billet Specialties steering wheel spins a leather rim around a painted GM steering column. And behind the passengers. a completely upholstered trunk features enough storage for chairs. a small cooler and the car's nightly trophy take.

This rad roadster's sale includes both a grille screen and cockpit cover.

In short. this spectacular '32 Ford is the perfect street rod for someone who wants a fully-sorted cruiser that'll tear up the roads and take home trophies. The work is done. the money is spent. and the result is a great-looking car that you can drive home for a fraction of its original cost. If you're looking for a professional build which features an unbeatable combination of classic looks and modern technology. you've found your next car!
