1959 DeSoto Fireflite Base Hardtop 4-Door 6.3L. Nicest on EbayMotors

Representing the creation from designer Virgil Max Exner out the the Advance Design Studio of Chrysler. the 1959 Desoto Fireflite sent GM and Ford "back to the drawing board". given the huge sales success of their forward looking cars.  
What you see her is a fabulous and gorgeous  original 87K mile  example of this car. completely rust free  with a lovely and almost flawless Bahamas Blue paint finish. excellent chrome . stainless. glass. trim and upholstery.  
a 9:5 to 1 Compression 383 cubic inch V8 with a four barrell carburator. over 300 hp. and  coupled to a three speed Torqueflite transmssion with push button range selector. the Fireflite accelerates nicely.
Styling cues were now evident from the publics fascination of space flight. reflected in the high aft fins. front bumper "Dagmars" and aerodynamic touches throughout the body.  
Everything works wonderfully on the car with the exception of the clock (which is correct twice a day) and the fuel gauge. which I suspect is probably a float in the tank malfunctioning.  The radio works great and has been converted to AM/FM for listening to those "Oldies".   Another fun feature to the Fireflite is its front seats. which swivel outwards for easy driver and passenger  exit and entrance.      There is no smoke. leaks or unusual noises in the engine and driveline. and the engine runs smoothly and quietly.
This is a wonderful car to own and drive. as well as a great investment.    I have the Desoto Fireflite for sale locally. and respectfully reserve the right to end the auction early.  
Kindly. please do not ask me my reserve.  The "Buy It Now" price should give you a  pretty  good idea as to what I will accept for the car.

Mr. Bob Terpak (and thank you!)  Chris:  Thanks   0127 car made on Jan 27   453 DeSoto (4) Fireflite (5) 4 door sedan (3)   403908 is probably 103 908 the 3098th FF and from our charts would have been made around Jan 27.   There should be  a metal tag by the driver's door hinge marked M451  103908 which hold match the title  M451= 1959 (M) DeSoto(4)  Fireflite (5) made at Jefferson (1) Detroit   803???   371 the interior Blue vinyl with a blue cloth insert   I am thinking your car is BBB top/body/sweep in Bahama Blue    Thanks again   Bob Terpak
