1959 PORSCHE 356 1600 SUPER CABRIOLET EXTREMELY NICE

Up for auction is a beautiful. well sorted. rust free ‘59 A Cabriolet. 1959 was the final year of the classic lines of the 356 “A. the A's beautiful rounded lines were lost with the T-5 and T-6 models. This car left the factory in Zuffenhausen on December 5. 1958. This Porsche 356 is a very high-end driver. the product of an earlier. high level restoration at which time the color combination was changed from ivory w/ red Leather to a more sporty Ruby Red with Tan Leather interior.   Since it is sometimes hard to tell in photos. please note the paint on this car is very very nice!  It has a new Tan Top. new German square weave Oatmeal Carpet (from Autos Intl. ). with special leather binding matching the leather interior.   Old Undercoating has been removed and freshly refinished. Its original factory floors are in exceptional condition. all gaps are very good and no evidence of collision or other damage is present. The replacement engine serial number (P73627) falls within the range of a '59. The transmission (23228) is original. The car drives and handles very well. No noise from the transmission or engine. The period correct Blaupunkt Radio works well with an authentic Hirschman red tip antennae. This 1600 Super cabriolet comes with a complete tool kit with correct Bilstein jack.   An original with proper date code Drivers Manual. Maintenance Booklet. a copy of the factory Kardex and COA are included. All panel numbers matching and chassis number badges present (please see photos).
