1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT (105. 02)
This is a very hard-to-find "Stepnose" GT by Bertone. and being a 1964 makes it even harder to find in any sort of way. due to this car was not imported in the USA till 1965Car was imported from Canada. has import documentation but still needs register in USA by new OwnerThese cars properly restored to period correct level fetch upto $45. 00This early stepnose is highly valued over the later GTV. It is a valuable gem that I regrettably have to let go. This car could be perfect for vintage auto racing due to vin number alone.
PROJECT CAR:
The car was sold to me by an old Alfa collector in Vancouver Canada who stored it over many years and did not kept it properly running nor maintained.
This is a project car that should have a full restoration done to address rust issues in the engine bay cross members and rocker panels. (see pictures)See picture under the steering box that inside fender is rusted. The car was hit from behind and fixed by PO and repainted but did not do a good job (the whole tail face is bondo) but now it includes a donor's car rear face with trunk floor for replacement. PO had a fire in the engine bay and hit the right front corner.  The carburetors have been blasted. restored and rebuild and also the intake manifold. The interior is in overall good condition. driver seat has a rip on the left side. carpet needs to be changedEngine bay is almost bare at the moment and lights. grill. hood taken apart  (one hood hinge is broken but spares can be found)Original wheels have been sandblasted but not painted yet (the right silver is always be buyers decision)
The original 1600 engine is apart. out of the car. needs rebuild (Original "matching" numbers /very valuable -included)Everything is there in boxes
Broken: Tail lights. right side grille. gas tank leaks.
It comes with a letter from the Alfa Romeo Archives confirming date of manufacture. vin number. exterior and interior color. (original Alfa Red AR-501 with black skai interior)I started the project but ran out of time. funds. and wife's patience.
