1953 Ford F-100 for sale
Current customer rating: (74 votes ) based onHeidts superride 2 front suspension. This is a $3500 kit that was added to the frame. Now the truck has independent suspension. power steering. and disc brakes in the front.
A new power brake booster was added and mounts on the frame. This keeps the engine compartment nice and clean. The firewall was cleaned up as well. Now its all smooth and painted satin black.
All new wiring was added. A painless wiring kit handles all of the truck wiring and the speedway motor harness handles the engine wiring. $1000 in wiring alone.
A rebuilt Chevrolet 350 LT1 high-performance 300 hp fuel injected motor with 0 miles was added for reliability and fuel economy. The motor is a 5. 7 Liter LT1 and the transmission is 4L60 4 speed overdrive automatic.
Brand-new flow master 50 series dual exhaust was just put on. Nice looking with downward chrome tips. and a mellow rumble.
The interior has new carpet. a GM Steering column with tilt. stereo with HD radio. CD. Dakota digital gauges that include digital speedometer. tachometer. water temperature. oil pressure. fuel. and voltage. Highbeam and turn signal indicators. B&M ratchet floor shifter. and a nice original bench seat recovered in two tone brown/black vinyl. New windshield and rubber grommet.
This has been an Arizona truck all it's life. therefore the body is very solid with little surface rust (bubbling on cab corners) and solid floor boards. Truck runs and drives. it needs minor work and paint to be completed: I personally dislike the yellow color. but If you do all you would need to paint would be the hood and cowl.
While on a hunt for a Sunday car. I found and bought this truck from a gentleman who spend 4 years and 100's of hours putting this all together with precision and attention to detail. He had ran out of space and funds to complete this project. I bought it with the intention of completeing it myself with a "patina" themed paint job but quickly learned that I don't have the time and energy. Instead I just bought a turn key fully restored mustang and decided to just sell the truck to someone who is able to complete it. I have a stack of receipts and paperwork for most of the upgrades installed on the truck . The truck is located in Glendale. CA and anyone is welcome to check it out.
My reserve price is very low considering all the work that has been done to this truck already. thisis not a rusted out farm truck in need of extensive work. just needs someone who's a little handy to complete all the loose ends and have a beautiful show truck with modern technology and upgrades.
Good luck bidding. any questions please call or text 818-200-3533. Thank you for looking. On Feb-05-17 at 14:22:09 PST. seller added the following information:
Truck is being sold as-is by a private owner with no warranties or guarantees of any kind expressed or implied. Please keep in mind this is a 64 year old vehicle and driving it across country isn't a good idea. I would recommend bringing a trailer or hiring a towing service. Truck holds a "rest/salvg" AZ title.
