1972 CHEVROLET NOVA

I've been building this Nova up here in Australia and I've now got it to a stage where it's a quick reliable muscle car. The car has alot of potential to be a very quick street car with some more engine mods or just keep it as a nice clean Saturday night weekend cruiser.

The engine is high output 5. 3 LS1. I've fitted a 750 Holley with edelbrock manifold and an MSD controls the spark. The extractors & twin 3in exhaust system are all custom built. The engine starts first time. everytime. It runs great with no issues and is even good on fuel (approx 20mpg).

The trans is a turbo 400 and i've fitted a hurst 3 speed shifter. The diff is a rebuilt 10 bolt with stronger axels and 3. 9 tru track LSD. I've recently fitted cal tracs and a bigger rear tyre (275's) on the American racing wheels for improved traction.

The paint is only 2 years old and was done in a professional local shop. I added the white stripes for something different and it gives the car the "Yenko" look.   I've also updated the interior with some white inserts and it too looks clean and presentable.

I have taken the car out to the drags only one time and with the rev limiter set at a conservative 5200rpm it ran back to back 13. 2's @ 104mph (should run easy 12. 80's shifting at 6200rpm) not bad for a factory stock engine with only extractors and a carby fitted.

The car runs and drives great with power steering and a new disc brake set up recently fitted it could be used as everyday transport.
