1938 Chevrolet Other

Up for auction is a beautiful patina'd 1938 Chevy Coupe that has been finished for a couple years but rarely driven or shown. Late 60's Lacquer Patina'd paint that has been cleared over to preserve the paint from deteriorating. All original interior remains intact with the mohair seat. door panels. headliner. with an all original dash including all window frames.  The interior and inside of this car has not been touched since 1938 and has aged perfectly.  

This project started out as a bone stock original California car that came out of a collection from Pellini Chevrolet in Sebastopol California. Area 51 Customs in Bellflower handled all the paint touch up and clearing to preserve the beautiful blue lacquer which was the second paint job in the 1960's over the original brown. “The Bagman” in the city of Orange completed all the suspension which is now riding on an incredible Air Ride System with remote controls. Original straight axle front end was removed and a 1948 Complete Fleetline front clip was installed. The Master 38 rear end was left and a 4 link set up was installed. The enclosed driveline was left with the original 3 speed transmission and the original floor was tunneled and welded back in. The entire trunk was all put back to look original including the side wall cardboard that hides all the compressors for the Air Ride System. Everything is hidden nicely to keep the original look of the car.  The suspension work parts and labor alone on this car was $10. 00.

Epsteins Muffler and auto restoration installed all new brakes. wheel cylinders. installed the dual carburetors with fenton intake on a fresh top end 1954 235 6cylinder. installed fenton headers and all new straight pipes front to rear. This car sounds incredible to say the least and has approximately 500 miles on it since completed 2 years ago.  

All the wiring on this car was replaced from front to back with original style cloth wiring and converted to 12V with new starter. alternator. with all lights and gauges working accordingly.
