Beautiful 2003 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer 4x4 with the legendary 7. 3L Diesel

** Relisting due to local buyer being unable to complete the transaction **

After 7 years of proud ownership. we are proud to offer up our Excursion for sale. We purchased this from the original owner. so we are only the 2nd owner.

This truck was purchased back in 2010 as a response to our 5th child being born. Shortly after that in 2011. I also started a new job where I'm supplied a company vehicle. As a result. we have used it sparingly over the years for family trips. and primarily for my wife running around the kids at times. Being that our two oldest are now driving. we simply don't use it much anymore. As you can see. we have only put on approx. 21. 00 miles in 7 years as a result.

PLEASE READ: For those that may have seen my original listing for the 12 hours it was up. you may notice the mileage changed a bit. When I spent the original hour and a half typing up and creating the listing. I was at work and didn't have access to the exact mileage. I thought it was around 104K (like I said. my wife's truck that I rarely drive. pretty sure I should have been thinking 114K!). so I set it up that way with the intention of changing it to the correct mileage prior to the listing going live. Unfortunately I forgot to change it after realizing it was actually just over 113. 00K. Once it was live. I had no choice but to remove the listing. In the meantime. I had a local buyer off Craigslist that came to look at it that morning. and he left me with a down payment later that day.

Then when the "buyer" went to drive it a couple of days later with his wife. he noticed the tachometer would cut out at times. We had never noticed this before. and agreed to have it repaired as part of the sale. So. I spent almost 3 weeks and countless hours looking into repair/replacement options that were financially viable. After looking at all options. it was decided that we would install a used gauge cluster. With that. the closest mileage unit we could locate was showing 155K! I was sent three different clusters before we got one that worked properly. so unfortunately I couldn't be too picky. We had it installed. and the "buyer" was good with that given that mileage is not documented in WI for vehicles over 10 years old anyway.  A few days after installing and sending the old cluster core back. the buyer informed me that he had exhausted all his options for a loan. and was backing out of the deal :( So. the odometer is going to show 155K. but the truck only has 113K original miles. I have a picture of the old cluster before I took it out. as the company that sold me the cluster wanted a picture of it to verify the style originally. I will happily discuss this if you have further questions/concerns.

I believe the only option the truck didn't have from the factory was the entertainment system. was has since been added and is far better than anything Ford ever installed.

The Good:

Low Mileage for the year. These are getting harder and harder to find. Highly sought after 7. 3L Diesel engineTinted Window Shades on all four doorsFront Bug Shield added to protect he hood13" LCD TV Added in 2012 for a Florida Trip we took. All professionally installed by Muntz Audio on Green Bay. WIHigh End Pioneer In dash DVD / Navigation System added along with TV. RCA's run to 2nd row in case you would ever want to add a sub. etc. Rear controls disabled. Back-up camera installed along with items above. Works great on a vehicle of this enormous size!20" Chrome Wheels and Tires. Tires are 305/50-20's that are 3-4 years old. and have approx. 75% tread life leftAll four brakes replaced in the last year. This included Rotors. Calipers. and Ceramic PadsAlternator and belt was replaced in approx. 2014. Rancho shocks were installed all the way around at approx. 100K. This included the steering stabilizer.   No Lift. just stock height replacementsNew Warn front hubs done the same time the brakes were done. Another common Ford issue. Always changed the oil every spring with Mobil Oil. I actually have one unopened 5 gallon pail and one filter that will be included with the sale. HD Floor mats were added right when we got it to the 2nd & 3rd rows. as well as the cargo area. We recently had the front bumper professionally repainted just due to run of the mill road chips. etc. I'm extremely picky about how my vehicles look. and there were a couple of chips that were bugging me!I recently had a new bottom seat cover installed on the drivers seat due to the leather being cracked. Nothing torn or ripped. I just didn't like the look. Old cover will be included. Overall condition inside and out is probably around a  8 of 10 for the age/year. Its a 14+ years old truck. so please do not expect it to be perfect.   Compared to most I see. its in really great shape. We have two friends that have these. and they drool over ours! As can be expected on a 14+ year old truck. there are a few light scratches around. etc. Most could likely be buffed out as you only notice them if the light hits it just right. Again. not pefect. but very nice. This truck has always been given anything it needed every spring when I took it in for its annual oil change. My mechanic is a former Ford Certified Powerstroke mechanic that went out on his own. and is well known in our area specifically for working on the 7. 3's. Anything he ever said it needed. it got.

Notables:

Front bumper plastic trim is a bit faded. and has a small chip/chunk missing out of the front left side. It was this way when we bought it. I just never could find a replacement. Rear bumper cover has a couple of gouges in it. Again these were there when we purchased it. Rear cargo area has scuffs scratches. etc. Nothing out of the ordinary though. Small amount of pitting on the chrome wheels. I was lazy a couple of winters ago. and never swapped them out with the stockers. As a result. a bit of pitting surfaced. As you can see by the pic's. they still look awesome!Steering wheel is worn from use. This is normal. but has always annoyed me personally. Two small screws on underside of dash where the previous owner must have had a brake controller installed. Its trivial. but Im trying to be as descriptive as possible. Average to above average condition of the leather for the age/mileage. It has some wear. but overall is in good shape. Flip up mechanism on the Passenger middle seat (the small one) has never worked right since we got it.   It flips down. but the handle to flip it up against the back of the front seat has never worked right since we have owned it. It may just need to be lubed up or something. but I cannot be sure. As a result. the plastic handle is missing due to being cracked at some pointThe Velcro on the rear seat protector in the back is bad. Extremely common problem on these. as it was a bad design from day one. We simply hold it up with a bungee. Overall the paint is in good shape. Expect a few light scuffs and scratches here and there. Nothing through the paint. and NO rust. Again. Id say roughly a 7-8 of 10Small dent/crease on the passenger side front door just above the gold rockers towards the front of the door. It was there when we got it. but it really is not very noticeable unless you are looking for it. Try to find it in the pics. you really cant. Probably a few other things I may be forgetting. but I assure you they would be extremely minor.

I do have the original stock wheels/tires/caps/lugs that I used in winter only. They have white letter Firestone's on them with approx. 75-80% tread. If the Buy-it-now is used for purchase. I will include these with the sale as well. This is a $800 value at minimum.

I also have a couple of odds and ends that will be included:

Extra wheel cap for the chrome wheelsThe oil and filter mentioned aboveOriginal Radio Head unitOriginal Manuals from FordAny other odds and ends I find lying around :)

I have purchased a number of vehicles over the years over the internet. and realize the need to be as descriptive as possible. As a matter of fact. I recently purchased the replacement for the Excursion off Ebay. I also understand the need for me to be accessible for questions. etc. With that. do not hesitate to ask. I'm very proud of my impeccable feedback. and want it to stay that way. Simply put. ask to your hearts content. there simply should not be a reason for anything but positive feedback once this is over :)

I can be reached the following ways:

Cell/Text  - 920-312-3550 8am-4pm CST

Home - 920-899-4723 4pm - 10pm CST.

Please do not contact me with low ball offers. or trade of any kind.  I'm very aware of the current market for these. and feel my pricing is MORE than in line with them. I'm not desperate to sell. and it is for sale locally as well.  If anything. I'm probably selling myself a bit short.
