I am selling this good condition. nbsp;meticulously maintained. nbsp; 1998 Corvette Z01 with 6-Speed 5. 7 Liter LS1 . mileage will go up about 30 to 40 per day as I drive it daily to work. etc.
(From 21st November. I will only be able to arrange collection to a buyer on weekends after I change jobs from ATL to Michigan as the car is going to remain at home in Georgia. ) If you want to view. best to do so before 19th Nov as I will only be returning for a sale after that date
Comes with CarFax check showing when I bought it and some of the work done shows too. and I will give all receipts I have for the approx $6k maintenance & improvement work I carried out immediately after purchasing. I park it undercover at work and at home so is does not have dirt in the sills and seams. It is fully optioned for the year (HUD option was not available in 98. only in 99 or 2000)Happy to drive it anywhere if gas & deposit is payed and you get my flight back (but if I were you. I'd go for the opposite for the thrill. she is reliable as a hammer so will drive across America with no mechanical issues)
I bought it at 87. 00miles from an enthusiast millionaire in Alabama who owns 29 Vette's; He had it fully serviced but I did the Engine and Transmission fluids around 91. 00 to be sure. but both were perfectly clean looking; Used Mobil 1 Fully Synth 5W 30 and Red Line D4 ATF in the transI am just about to change motor oil again this weekend as it says I have 10% life on the display. I will use the usual Mobil 1 Fully Synth 5W 30 with Lucas Synthetic Stabilizer and a new Fram Ultra Synthetic Filter.  The trans is very smooth and has none of the syncro or pop-out-of-gear issues some have. all the gears slot in solid. All tires are brand new Indy 500 factory spec on factory rims. with new TMPS sensorsThe brakes upgrade was done by the old fellow who owned it last in Alabama. I think he said around 75. 00 miles so years of life. no wear noticeable yet
This car purrs. The exhaust note is sweet with a nice low rumble down low and a mean growl higher up.  I think it's an after-market titanium exhaust as the pipes look wider underneath and the tailpipes also look wider than other C5 Vette's I see around.
It also has a high-flow K&N air filer which has been washed and re-oiled. It has vented cross-drilled & slotted disk rotors all round so brakes stop on a dime.
Besides other preventative maintenance and tweaks. I decided to spend about $3. 00 at my local Corvette shop just after purchasing:-Two new sets of keys and alarm/keyless-entry/trunk fobs/remotes and a 3rd Spare Key-Fully re-conditioned steering rack. so has no play at all-new tie-rod ends and new bushes where required-Convertible top is brand new. It is a quality double-skin top. -new improved metal sway-bar drop-links (originals are plastic)-New NGK Iridium IX plugs & MSD Ignition Leads-New factory replacement mats with embroidered logos (old ones are still good. to use on rainy days)
Other improvements I spent another $2. 00 on include:-Brand new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 all round on Sept 23rd ; 245/45/17 front & 275/40/18 rear-4 wheel alignment on 23 Sept-4 new TPMS sensors-New belts. serpentine pulley. tensioner. water-pump. thermostat. pressure cap. plugs. & leads as phased/preventative maintenance.  -newly re-fitted all-grey seats:-had the anti-rocking mod done to the driver seat so it does not rock (common fault) -all the air-bag seat adjuster's (side-paddles. lumbar and tilting) work perfectly with no air-pocket leaks-I upgraded one of the headlights cogs to brass to try it out. but the driver side still has the original nylon one (I'd recommend the next owner do the other side also as the factory ones are apparently crap since they are only nylon/plastic)-I fitted a CAGS skip-shift-eliminator so the annoying factory 1st to 4th shift solenoid is disabled. so you can actually drive it like a proper manual gearbox instead of being forced into 4th gear from 1st when driving below 3. 00rpm (Emissions control for CA)
I need to mention. these are very economical. this is the same price to run as my 2. 5L Subaru and only about 5% more per week than my old Honda S2000 and that was only 2L.
THIS CAR TOOK ME MONTHS TO FIND ONCE THAT WAS NOT A PIECE OF JUNK IN THE FLESH. AS YOU WILL HAVE FOUND IF YOU VISITED A FEW ALREADY I EVEN TEST DROVE ONE WITH ONLY 38k MILES THAT HAD THE COMMON 'WOBBLY HARMONIC BALANCER' ISSUE. BUT THIS ONE DOESN'T ANY WOBBLE AT ALL. DOESN'T HAVE MISSING TRIM. ETC
I ALSO BOTHERED TO SPEND MONEY IN AREAS WHERE MOST PEOPLE WOULDN'T TO MAKE IT LIKE NEW. LIKE HANDLING. HAS ALL NEW TIE ROD ENDS AND STEERING RACK SO NICE AND TIGHT (over $3k just for that)
I AM ONLY SELLING BECAUSE I NEED TO MOVE NORTH WHERE IT SNOWS; AND VERY LIGHT. RWD CARS ARE NO GOOD ON ICY ROADS. PLEASE DON'T SEND ME INSULTING LOW-BALL CASH OFFERS AS MY ACCEPT PRICE IS ALREADY A BARGAIN (I JACKED THE PRICE UP TO SCARE AWAY DEADBEAT DREAMERS/TIME-WASTERS
THE SWAP LIST IS BELOW AS FOLLOWS (I will obviously pay cash difference if the swap car is worth more):
-Audi RS4 6 Speed Manual -Subaru Non-Turbo Wagon. 5 Speed or preferably 6 Speed-Any STI Subaru Sedan or Hatch with 6 Speed  Manual Trans only. e. g. Subaru Forester. Subaru OutBack. Subaru Impreza (Manual Trans Only)-Mitsubishi Lanser Evolution with 5 or 6 speed manual-Toyota FJ Cruiser with 6 Speed Manual only-Any 4WD Honda as long as it has a manual transmission-I may consider a fully loaded trailer. 5th wheel or RV / Camper but only up to $30. 00 value as I don't want to spend more than the Vette and $15kIf you are in GA and have a place to park for a few months. I will pay from $50 to $100 per month for storage depending
. PLEASE DON'T OFFER TO SWAP A MOTORBIKE OR A RWD TRUCK OR SOMETHING I CAN'T USE ON ICY ROADS
(I will never be interested in a car or SUV with an Automatic Transmission. I detest Auto's & I think they should be outlawed)(I will happily pay the difference for a car that is worth more than the Valuation of the Vette)

I will be selling with the BlueTooth converter for the stereo but the dash-cam I will only give it is sells for over $13. 5k.  The original Bose system sounds great. the bass is punchy with no pops/distortion.
I welcome any mechanical checks or any questions you have.  (I have a Corvette specialist near my house if you want to pay for a full mechanical appraisal before buying. they did all the maintenance work too )

6-Speed . Manual . 6spd . 6speed . Muscecar. TRD. EVO. AWD. 4x4)
