BODYWORK/TRIM

Solid and straight this drop-top's lust-inducing body reflects picturesque  Maroon that creates a rich and classy demeanor. From its glossy shine to its chip-free rocker panels that paint's clean finish is nice enough to be the star at any local cruise night and certainly nicer than the car's original factory-applied pigment. Naturally a star of that caliber requires top notch panel fit and it appears the folks who bolted this Ford together spent a lot of time making sure its classy profile maintained excellent cohesion. That bright fuselage contrasts well against perfect Glass and a fresh top. The Interior was finished by World Master Bob Kennedy who completed the Dash & Frames at over $6000.  overall this Ford is a stunning tribute to the Golden Era of American motoring.

ENGINE  Upgraded V8 Flathead Merc Motor!

If Henry Ford perfected one aspect of his automobiles it was the Ford V8. Introduced in 1932 as a durable torque-rich competitor to more expensive and labor-intensive 8-cylinders the flathead has established an unmatched reputation as the go-to mill for vintage and kustom car enthusiasts. And in keeping with tradition this stellar classic is powered by 239 cubic inches of 'flatty' V8. Spinning smooth compression into roughly 100 horsepower the throaty engine growls with the help of a roster of vintage parts. Air enters through a painted a decaled oil bath and juiced by a Stromberg carburetor exits through correct cast iron exhaust manifolds. Pliable Ford belts turn a traditional generator while a beefy radiator cycles water through big Ford hoses and tight screw clamps. Aesthetically the block which perches a correctly-decaled oil canister on 24-stud heads has been painted a familiar blue hue. And overall the car's super smooth engine bay is a charming and 100% functional step back into a much simpler and some would say better period of American automotive history.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Take a look under this roaring rag-top and you'll see just how much the automotive world has changed when it comes to ride handling and structural integrity. The car's body-matched floors make a suitable backdrop for a Satin Black frame and factory-accurate suspension. A 3-speed manual transmission   In front of those components a beam axle and transverse leaf spring remain just as they looked back in 1948. And the same holds true behind those components where a second leaf and the aforementioned pumpkin add integrity and grip. Stops are provided by 4-wheel drum brakes. Factory-spec plumbing suspends a large muffler  And everything rides on body-matched wheels which spin 6. 00-16 Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewalls around stylized trim rings and ''FORD'' branded hub caps. (Five New Firestones including Trunk)

INTERIOR - New Leather

Open the car's doors and you'll find a simple but stylish French Seams. The good looks start with factory-style side panels that combine Bob Kennedy's Wood Frames set aside Soft Leather with small armrests and correct chrome hardware. Step in to the cockpit and find your footing on correct pedals which are framed by a combination of Factory Ford Mats (Carpet was only in rear).  Your current seating position is provided by a Chocolate Brown leather bench that like its aft counterpart is wide enough for about three people. In front of you a factory steel dash anchors telemetry at the sides of optional heat and a vintage radio. Control is granted through a large Ford-branded steering wheel which spins a chrome horn ring around a correct shifter. And luggage gets stowed in a cavernous trunk that features a correct jack and full-size spare tire.

Wood - New (Sealed inside & out)

Real  American Oak and Mahogany (Sapele) finished off with Epifanes (Boat Varnish)
