1972 Chevrolet Corvette for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.5) based on 110 votes
I am selling my 1972 LT1 Convertible. It is 1 of 405 LT1 convertibles made in 1972 and it is 1 of 479 convertibles painted Steel Cities Gray out of 6. 08 convertibles produced in 1972. so it is a very limited production vehicle.
The car has been repainted in its original color. The paint is of average quality and it is showing its age. there are a few blemishes on the car (I have included pictures of them). The convertible top plastic back light is cracked in the bottom right portion (I have a brand new dated Al Knoch top in the box that will go with the car). The interior is all original. the door panels are cracking (pictures included). The car is amazingly rust free. it has spent its life in Colorado. Texas and California. I took the car to a regional NCRS meet a couple of years ago. and the car was awarded a 2nd Flight. The car has its born with numbers matching drive-train. with its original cylinder casing. transmission. and differential housing. The water pump. fuel pump. and fan clutch are original to the car and numbers matching. I found and added a perfect date matching alternator. the carburetor is not date code correct. it was built to work well with the headers. The headlight and wiper doors pop up and work correctly. The clock and oil pressure gauge do not work. the temperature and charge gauge work well. The current. original mileage is 66. 25. To the best of my knowledge. the motor has never been out of the car.
This car is not perfect. it is not a fully restored car with a perfect finish or a new interior. it is a very original car with some issues. and the price reflects this. The car is a fine example of an original car that has been well maintained over the years and is in need of some freshening. The paint on the hood has small bubbles over the finish and there are a few areas on the car where the paint is bubbling. I would be happy to send more detailed pictures upon request. I chose to leave the car in this condition. as I like this type of car. a fun to drive. nice looking example of an awesome. limited production Corvette.
The car was built with the following options:
A85 - Custom Deluxe Front Shoulder BeltsLT1 - 255 HP Turbo-Fire Special 350 V8PU9 - F70 X 15 White Lettered TiresT60 - Heavy-Duty BatteryU69 - AM/FM Pushbutton Radio404 - Black Leather Custom Interior
The car has amazing documentation. which includes:
The original window stickerBuild sheetProtect-o-plateOriginal dealer order sheetOriginal receipt for vehicle purchase Original dealership delivery report (Pre-delivery inspection) Original Owners manual - with key codes annotated on it by the original owner Original Consumer Information and Emission Control Systems brochuresAll of the documentation is original to the car and not reproduction.
I also have the original owners maintenance documentation dating back to the cars first service on January 30. 1973 through his ownership period which ended in October. 1988. The original owner put headers on the car many years ago. and that is how I purchased it. Please call me with any questions - (916) 580-7987.
