Citroen DS21 for sale

This Citroën is a 1970 French model DS21 that was brought from France by a collector.
· It is left hand drive.
· It has about 129. 00 miles.
· It has a manual four speed.
· It has original mechanical turning headlights that have been properly adjusted.
· It is virtually rust free.
· It has been always been garaged.
· It has nearly new Michelin “Harmony” tires.
· The interior is nearly new. a mustard velour. The side panels are also new. The rubber trim is soft and pliable.
· It recently had a new clutch. timing chain. It has electronic ignition. Also all the hoses. seals. and belts are new. The engine compartment was cleaned thoroughly and the block was painted green. It has a single carburetor.
· It looks very presentable but could use new paint. The underside is all smooth and complete. There is a slight leak in the steering mechanism that can be easily fixed.
· It has a Blaupunkt radio. Model Oslo SM21. Th original manual is in its pocket
· The dash pod has been replaced with a miles/hour speedometer. The clock does not work.
· It is very strong and smooth and quiet. It uses about one half liter of oil in 3000 miles. The exhaust system is adequate.
· The trunk is unblemished. See photos.
· It is now garaged in Boise. Idaho
· For those who are not familiar with the Citroën marque:
· Visibility in these cars is unparalleled. The seats are like the most comfortable chair you have ever sat in. The suspension is unlike anything you have ever experienced.
· The steering is “dead stick”. It does not wander one millimeter. The power steering engages at low speeds. The car can be started with a crank handle (provided)
· The spare is in the front of the engine; easy access and a collision cushion
· The Citroën has adjustable height from inside the “cabin” of about 8-3/4 inches.
· The Citroën is front wheel drive. Therefore. there is no tunnel.
The brakes are part of the suspension system. The front disc brakes are inboard so there is no brake dust on the wheels like on other well-known marques
Parts are readily available at Western Hemispheres in Watsonville. California.
