2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class for sale
Current customer rating: (141 votes ) based onI don't drive my car much. in fact only about 5k a year. We have another and I ride my bike to work so this car mostly sees weekend trips.
Recent service to this car (within last year) includes:
Inner and outer tie rodsSteering rack bootsMotor MountFront axle boots (both sides inner and outerTransfer Case Fluid (OEM)Transmission Fluid and Filter (OEM)Rear differential Fluid (Motul 90PA)Water pumpAccessory BeltBelt TensionerBehr Radiator (recall on the original one)Cabin Air filtersEngine air filtersSpark PlugsBatteryEngine oil change (2k Left on this one)Rear brake rotors and pads
I have receipts for everything and the car needs nothing mechanically.
I've added a couple of items to the car. One is a high capacity tow hitch from the UK. It cost about $700 dollars. The car has a tremendous towing capacity (2200kg) and this hitch will handle it. They are not available in the US. The hitch includes a wiring harness that plugged into the factory body module so it will operate trailer brakes. I used the hitch to tow a trailer to the dump. It's a swan- neck style as you will see in the photos. I also had the windows tinted because it keeps the car cool in the summer. I bought a set of wheels with Pirelli Pzero tires that have less than 5k miles on them. The car will be sold with two sets of wheels. one with Blizzak snow tires in 90% condition. the other with 18" summer tires.
The car is shown with a Thule bike rack that uses the factory roof rails. Thule's latest aero bars and fork-mount bike adapters. I use the rack for carrying other stuff. It comes in handy. If someone is interested in the car but not the rack I will take $400 off the price.
The car has no issues other than the radio occasionally clipping out for a second every now and then. The problem is with the factory amplifier- it's common and easy to fix. I am willing to replace it for the right buyer. The car runs and drives perfectly. It's ready to drive across the country. The interior is cream perforated leather with the very cool third-row rearward facing seats. The front seats are vented. heated and massaging. They have active bolsters. The trunk lid is automatic and you can activate it with the key fob. Rear passenger windows have privacy shades.
I have the original window sticker for the car and it was somewhere in the ballpark of $80k new as it was fully optioned.
You might find other W211 wagons for sale for slightly less but the maintenance will not be as up to date as it is with this one. All of the service for this mileage is complete.
Clean Carfax. Zero accidents ever.
I'm selling the car because I bought a new vehicle and we have one too many cars now.
Large interior photos are available. Just email me. There are a couple scratches here and there. Typical for a 100k car. Some on the rear bumper and one on the front fender. I can provide photos. They aren't visible from 5 ft but I thought I'd mention them. Happy to send photos of them as well. Just ask.
