mk2 escort 2 door shell

time has come to sell my mk2 escort shell! im just not going ton get the time too finish it and im enjoying my away from work and its just sat in our bodyshop for 4 months! it started life as a left hand drive car imported! ive got all the documents and everything has been paid all that needs doing i regestering it at dvla! all the work has been carried out in the bodyshop that i run in thatcham so its a pro job and not just been slapped together in a shed! all the correct matirials have been used to ensure the finish is going to be of the highest quality! i bought the car as a rolling shell and it was good too start with where it really matters!the rails and inner wings. ngine bay and boot floor were mint! just had small holes in the floor and wings and some damage on the front panel. the car has been stripped and bead blasted inside and out and it came back with no other nasty suprises! i descided to make this a concourse shell and one that will last so the floors have been replaced with the express panels which were expensive but fitted great! ive replaced the outer sills. ick panels and drip rails along with front wings and front panel and both door skins! the arches have been fitted properly bonded and joggled into the panels and rivitted with counter suck rivits! the arches have been blended in so they look part of the car as you can see in the pictures! every single ripple has been taken out of this shell and belive me its been painstaking work! the shell has been polyester spray fillered and that has been blocked and is in 320 grit and is ready for primer! this will never sink and show any repairs done and is the way restoration should be done! all the gaps are correct and the car is as straight as it should be and better prob than when it was new! ive also fitted a larger gearbox tunnel so theres no restrictions on gearbox you use! the out side is ready for primer and all that needs doing is the under neath where all the welding is done so some filler and how far and mint finish you want and the inside the same! it is still LHD but it will come with every thing to convert it to right had drive including a mint rs2000 dash! maybe a mornings work welding to convert it! as its a import it is a srenghtend rs shell so a great start for a mint mexico! as i said i do have all the import documents for the shell and i do have it registered in the uk and have the v5 in my name but this isnt included in the sale but can be purchased for extra! its a mexico v5! i have all the running gear which will be fitted so its a rolling shell again! viewing very welcome and recomended! i will be listing many NOS and mint parts that i was going to fit too the car so check my other items! please no stupid offers as i know how much it would cost too do this to a shell! many thanks for looking!
