This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette looks great in its factory-correct colors and is exceptionally well documented. but one item that you won't find on the original window sticker is the thumpin' 430 hp V8 that now lives under the hood. The way Chevrolet should have made the 'Vette that year!



Corvette owners know how to keep their cars well maintained. so it's no surprise how pure the factory shade of Classic White still looks on this car. The exceptionally low mileage (averaging less than 1. 50 miles per year) means you know that even before the motor upgrade. this one has spent a life as a cherished toy and not a daily driver. These late C3 cars are gaining a nice following. as people begin to appreciate the features like the distinct spoiler and clean chrome-free body. This helps highlight accessory items like the bright exhaust tips and optional aluminum wheels.



The fantastic red interior looks exceptionally fresh because it was recently redone back to factory standards. This includes the leather seats and carpeting. just to make sure this one feels as premium as possible. In fact. like any good Corvette. it comes loaded with power windows. power locks. cruise control. tilt/telescope wheel. and electric rear defogger. The AM/FM stereo is so original it still plays 8-tracks. but just so you can have more modern tunes. a CD changer was discreetly installed. For the driver. there's a wood and chrome three-spoke steering wheel. Beyond that is the large speedometer and tachometer in front. and a full gauge package prominently to the side. You can show this fantastic interior to the world as you go cruising around with the T-tops off. There's even ice-cold air conditioning running modern R-134a so you can stay open to the world all summer long.



While the car has exceptional low mileage. the freshly installed crate motor has far less. But what you'll really love is that this is a 383 cubic-inch V8 built by the performance wizards at BluePrint. This means aluminum heads. roller cam. hypereutectic pistons. 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor. and a whole host of other goodies on this precision-built motor. It's churning out a whopping 430 horsepower. But you can't just drop monster power into a car without making sure the rest of it can handle the upgrade. That's why there's a performance X-pipe dual exhaust with headers and Flowmaster mufflers. A B&M shift kit and torque converter have further beefed up the fresh TH350 three-speed automatic transmission from TCI. Controlling all this is easy too. thanks to features like the power steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
