Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 111 votes
Body: Original Mille Miglia red with no sign ever of being another color. Car was extensively worked on very recently for a year in a restoration shop.   It was greatly taken apart and repainted in the original period lacquer finish.  Many pictures of this. All functions work except for the radio as the speakers sound shot. the oil gauge is lazy and the clock may or may not work.

Mechanicals:

When in the body shop we finished off with a replacing of all the front suspension bushings. a 4 wheel alignment after the rear hubs were taken apart. checked and regreased. Brakes are replaced with calipers with stainless pots and stainless brake lines.

Exhaust:

A new set of stainless exhaust were installed with long headers. Do not have the original exhaust manifolds.

Motor:

This motor was rebuilt and improved upon recently also. Then. it was confirmed to be the original LT1 engine with solid lifters. high profile intake manifold. Holley Carb of correct date and type for the car and flat top pistons. The engine was rebored a bit. a radius valve job was preformed along with installing hardened valve seats and the compression rating was increased with dome top forged pistons. It runs on hi test gas. Car has a huge cam shaft which was checked and is correct for the type and era of car.   It has been dynode at 387 hp before the headers were installed and should be about 400 HP now.  It is very powerful.   It is running off a regular distributor a with an “under cap”  Pertonix. I do have some parts for the old electric ignition but it is essentially gone.

Transmission:

It is correct for the car and I have never touched it except for maintenance and neither did the fellow who owned it for 10 years before me. Numbers match and it preforms perfectly. A new clutch was installed which is a street clutch but still pretty “for real”

Rear end:

Currently running with a 411 from a 1967. I have the original 370 also though the number is corroded and more or less impossible to read on it.

This is a beautiful. and. for a bit of a beast. a very drivable car.  Very smooth and direct feeling.  You can drive it around fine. does not stall or overheat at lights and would drive to California tomorrow no problem.
