Immaculate 1984 Ford Capri 2.8 Injection - 53,000 Miles

Hi there and thanks for looking. After much deliberation I have decided to sell my immaculate 1984 Ford Capri 2. 8 Injection. It took me a very long time to find one like this and if you are looking for a genuine unmolested one then this is the car for you. Anyone that knows their Capris will know that they are getting very difficult to find indeed in this condition.

The car was purchased new in January 1984. and for reasons unkonwn was garaged in a warm garage in 1988 and remained there until 2001. It was then returned by the original owner to the supplying Ford Dealer (Hartford Motors in Banbury) where it was given a £3500 recommision in terms of hoses etc and a good service. The second owner purchased the car in 2003 and treated it to a full £5000 professional respray in its original colour in 2006 and kept the car until 2013 when I purchased the car.

Now at 53. 00 genuine miles it is documented with a full history file with stacks of bills and receipts and the original handbook pack is present with every book and three sets of original keys.

It is in absolutely superb original condition with no corrosion at all. The interior is as new without a trace of bolster wear. complete with perfect original parcel shelf and uncracked dash. The headlining is as new as are the carpets  The original Ford rubber mats are present and correct as are dealer plates. rear window sticker. and ford decals on the spot lights.

The car is fitted with a full stainless steel exhaust which sounds fabulous. I like my cars standard and the only deviation from this is that the previous owner has fitted a CD player however the car comes with its original Ford radio cassette also. The car is faultless to look at and drive and turns many a head when out.

It is MOT'd until May 2014 and taxed until October 2013. it has just had 4 new tyres.

I have only used the car sparingly on dry days to attend a few local car shows.

The only reason for sale is that I wish to return to my first car which is a 105E Anglia.

I paid £8000 for the car 3 months ago which I feel was worth every penny due to its beautiful and unmolested condition. However I am looking for £6500 for a quick sale to allow me to purchase a nice 105E.

If you are looking for a genuine unmolested beautiful condition 2. 8 Injection then this is the car for you. These are now getting very hard to find and also getting expensive.

The car is located in Fife. Scotland and I will of course collect you from the nearest station / airport (Edinburgh airport is a short drive away).
