I'm getting out of MB ownership and this is my last one.   If you are looking at this ad then you know about these cars.   They are a future classic which will be collectable and valuable.


This one is well worthy of restoration. definitely not a candidate of wrecking yard or stripping out.   I've had it for 10 years and maintained it as best I could. though there are a number of things which need attending to:


Has minor rust in the usual W116 rust areas

Sunroof leaks

driver seat upholstery is worn

Antenna is broken

Front left power window is "clicky" when rising

A/C doesn't work

Rear level control valve leaks so the car sinks a bit over the course of a week

Body has the odd mark here and there consistent with a 36 year old car


Some notes about the car:

It's an Australian Delivery model

The tyres are new (cost me $1K a couple of years ago). and are 215/70-14 which is the original size these 6. 9s came with.   If you don't like the raised white lettering they can be turned around as the insides are traditional black and the tyres are non-directional.

Brake disks are slotted and were replaced. as part of a full brake rebuild. 4 years ago.   Since then the car has only covered some 10. 00km





Currently on non-transferrable Club Plates and will be sold AS-IS with no reg or RWC.
