I the past there have been times when I accept an offer. then for days the buyer has made no contact. and when there is finally a response i'm told.      This Dayvan has the renound virtually indestructable 4300cc  Vortec V6 petrol engine which not only sounds fantastic it is also surprisingly economical for this size engine and has a proven track record of being extremely reliable.

    The interior is very nice. the seating is above average condition with only the driver seat showing some wear but no rips or tear.

 As you can see by the photograghs the exterior & interior are in above average condition & the drive is excellent in looks and ride (please TEXT or CALL me on 07747845304 so I can get your email address for extra pictures as e b a y will remove any messages with email addresses included. All in all the vehicle drives very well and looks very good. Note: the underside is as always excellent as these vans all have a galvanized chassis so no rust.

And upgrade headlights / taillights / bumper-indicator lights / mirrors / wheels etc all availbale and usually in stock. Ask for details.

The price of the vehicle i feel represents excellent value.

The mileage is a little higher than my usual stock being 121. 02 which is truly nothing for these larger engines. and still below average for the year of vehicle and the condition interior and exterior clearly shows this is correct. unlike some ridiculously supposed low mileage vans out there. the overall condition is your best indication of a vehicles mileage. also these engines being larger than most UK cars are built for long life and so 300-400 thousand miles can easily be enjoyed before any hint of serious engine failure being likely. mpg is between 22 and 28 depending on how and where you drive.  town / motorway /cruise / floor it etc.  

This Astro isn't LPG converted but remember if this vehicle was converted to LPG. which is nearly half the price of petrol you'd effectively be getting around 40-50 mpg.

My own Purple Astro is also converted to LPG and I get about 330 miles from a full tank which currently costs me about £65 so it makes this vehicle viable to drive as your day to day vehicle as i have for the past two years.

This vehicle drives extremely smoothly. very comfortable ride which i feel is above the standard for these vehicles.

All in all a great investment for whoever buys this very well spec'd vehicle.

It can tow anything big or small so with a towbar fitted it would make a major bonus for this vehicle.  £110 on eBay. or Watling Towbars supply and offer a fitting service for bespoke quality towbars for Astro/Safari vans for a very reasonable price and professional service.

Parts / Spares for these vehicles are easy to get. cheaper than you'd expect and more importantly off the shelf in THIS country. one company of many i use is  'USA Automotive' located in the Midlands. Parts are always correct as all you do is give this company the van's VIN number and anything ever fitted to the vehicle is logged on their database! Fantastic. they are easy to fit parts to. service is also done with ease with access from a removable panel inbetween the driver and front passenger seats and again cheap-e. g.  you can get six Dayvan spark plugs. air filter. oil filter. HT leads. distributor cap. distributor arm. for around £100 delivered next day.

The rear seating folds down for collecting larger items or you can remove them completely in literally in seconds making a very good sized collection van for extra large items.

(I've timed it and both three seaters can be out of the vehicle in under 60 seconds. not that anyone would need to do it that quickly. ) 

It has a beautifully smooth automatic transmission PLUS cruise control. the steering is so light you can steer it with one finger. and its raised drivers position makes this vehicle very reassuring as you get an elevated view of the road ahead far further than a typical car.

But i am realistic. i understand buyers concerns and to continue a steady stock flow i have (unlike many sellers) adjusted my prices accordingly.

Please remember this is a 1996 so obviously isn't new or perfect. the only points i've found are th bodykit at the driver and front passenger have slight damage. being a small piece of the plastic kit broken off. not easy to see but only fair to mention. repair quote on this is £180 & having said that as you can see from the photographs overall it is a very good looking vehicle that drives fantastic. and is over 15 years old so it is possible not every item when originally produced will work exactly as it did when new. it has MOT and is Taxed. nbsp;so at this price this vehicle represents excellent value for money considering the overall excellent looks. If there is anything specific you need to be sure is operating perfectly before you would consider purchasing just ask me and I will make further checks.
