1958 Porsche 356 ‘A' Coupe Project Matching numbers We have recently been authorised to sell this 356 ‘A' coupe in need of restoration All the parts photographed with the car are included in this auction The car looks 95 % complete of all parts need to restore apart from parts we would deem necessary to buy new on any 356 restoration. It is a lot of work to go through every little part so please study the photos carefully and as with all cars on eBay it is always best to come and have a look. Imported into the UK out of Colorado Original colour was Aqua-Marine Blue Body-shell has been media blasted. so the car is not hiding any issues The shell needs all the normal repairs and comes with some new panels All panels the car needs are available. The cars structure looks very good and it is sold as a roiling shell. so easy to transport. The lids and doors are matching numbers to the chassis. Engine is also matching to the car as it left the factory. Although someone has started to clean up pistons and cylinder etc. to rebuild the engine I would advise that you consider that the engine would need a rebuild with new parts by someone who knows what they are doing Transmission is currently fitted loosely in the car so the car can be rolled. It is matching numbers. I have not examined it so please assume it would need looking at before use The condition of all the other parts looks to be very good. Again it's probably best to come and have a look as to examine every part and report on its condition is hours of work. A good example is that I did notice that the windscreen has a big stone chip right in the middle. so is best replaced but I will leave it with the car so the aluminium trims are kept from being bent around. I have a lot more photos and can take more of a particular area as you require The best looking of all 356s. this could be your last chance to own one before the prices go intergalactic …In fact according to auction prices these cars went up 20% last year… The best high interest bank account over a year I could find was 3%. as the Americans say “do the math” Please email me with any questions.
