The good news:Mk1 Escort Mexico bare shell in Sebring red. Genuine AVO car with some history including many receipts from the 70's. The shell has been stripped of ALL running gear. interior. wiring. everything except for the original VIN plates which are still riveted where they should be. The original VIN number stamping can still be seen on the RH strut top plate. I have the registration document showing MEXICO. registered in my name. Registered in 1973 so will  be Tax Exempt as of next spring.  
The bad news:The shell is fitted with non mexico axle and suspension just to keep it mobile. Serious rust in ALL areas - if this shell is ever to be on the road again it will require a huge amount of work. certainly beyond what I had in mind when i bought it as a project. Please don't underestimate the extent of the rot. it is everywhere. inspections would be welcomed (south Warwickshire).
The auction has no reserve and will run to the end. I hope that there is someone out there who has the skill and patience to bring this genuine Mexico back to life. I would appreciate a paypal deposit of £200 at auction end and that the successful buyer makes collection and full payment arrangements within a couple of weeks of that.
