A very rare car in top condition with a very full spec. The only extras I can see which were not ordered are the drivers airbag and orthopaedic seats. nbsp;and rather than the climate control option this car has the more common airconditioning. which needs a re-gas. It has electric reclining and heated front AND rear seats. rear sunblind (motor needs replacing but no longer available from MB here. possibly from Germany). rear footrests. two tone horns. cruise. outside temperature gauge etc. The car also still has the original Becker Mexico 2000. an extremely expensive option in 1991 and which is working fine. This alone is worth a lot now.

Finished in Beryll which is highly unusual for a W126 (code 888). this car was ordered by a private gentleman from Sidcup in Kent and collected after PDI from London Road Garage. Romford (MB). They carried out the next two services at 1. 68 miles and 5. 63 miles in early and late 1991.  In March 92 it was serviced at Lancaster Hertford (MB)  at 8. 97 miles and then the owner moved to the Suffolk/Essex borders and the car was serviced by a Suffolk MB specialist. Although the car continued to be serviced regularly and according to the correct schedule the service book has a gap until Sept 01 at 34. 71 miles when it was serviced again by the MB Specialist in Suffolk and he continued with services 9/02 at 37. 49; 9/03 at 40. 22 and 9/04 at 43. 72. The car was next serviced at 47. 49 in September 2006 here in Cornwall. where the first owner had moved by this time. In August 2009. finding the car too big now for him having long since retired he traded the car to the local Renault dealer from whom he bought a new smaller car. The salesman involved so liked the car he bought it himself and passed it on to me when he lost his dry storage. I have since recommissioned the car and had the engine oil changed at just over 50. 00 miles with new spark plugs.

I have been able to contact the first owner who lives nearby in Cornwall and he has confirmed everything I knew about the car. He kept a detailed log of his use of the vehicle and the mileages. which he has kept. I understand he also has some further documentation. He was able confirm to me that the exact mileage when he sold the vehicle was 49. 50 and this ties in exactly with all of the above. He says he treated this car as his baby. Apparently it had been spec'd up and ordered by a foreign gentleman who subsequently cancelled the order and apart from the extras above he had a sump guard fitted and apparently different door linings. The first owner bought it as his company car for his personal use. hence well maintained.   The second owner simply ran it for a few miles then kept it in dry storage until he gained planning consent to develop.

The car runs straight and very well. no misfires or odd noises etc. no transmission whine and smooth gearchanges. all pretty much as you would expect for the mileage. Kickdown works fine. The alloy wheels are original and have been professionally refurbished inside and out. Tyres are all very good. Yokohama on front and Pirelli on rear - not perished. Battery is the huge Bosch 100A/H as standard. I also had the underside waxoyled last summer and have stored the car inside as did the last owner.

Bodily the car is 100% since I had new genuine MB wings fitted. receipt available. These were back order from Germany as 560 front wings are different from other W126 in that the arches have a greater flare.  I understand the worldwide supply of these wings was down to 5 pairs and was told by MB that when these are gone they will not be making any more. This was the main reason for replacing the originals. which were not too bad and in fact have been sold on for repair and further use. The new wings fit perfectly. as you would expect. The car has one or two very minor blemishes. bumper corners etc. but is virtually mint and could easily be concours with a little effort.  I preferred to leave it as original and authentic as possible. The interior is 100%. a lovely cabin in full black leather with matching original MB overmats.  All chrome is very good.

This is a truly lovely W126 and is destined for another collector. This car could be shown as it is but with a small amount of attention could be concours.  I do own another W126 and one has to go. You are welcome to come and view the car - in fact this is highly recommended - and all contact by e mail please. However. nbsp;please only make contact if you are serious about buying this car and no silly offers - I do know what this is worth. I welcome viewings but not unless the money is in your hand.  In return I will help genuine buyers as much as I can. collection from local station or airport (Newquay) possible and after sale agreed and cash paid I could even help with delivery. Buyers from Germany also welcome.    Please see my feedback.
