These Jaguar 3. 8 MK 2`s are now becoming a very collectible little item.   I`ve been keeping my eyes on them over the months and unfinished restorations are now making as much as £15k+ and I am seeing nice finished examples asking £65. 00+.

With prices on such a fast increase who knows where these cars will be in 5 years' time - £90. 00…?!?!??

This particular car was last on the road in 2010 and is now ready for some recommissioning and restoration work to make her roadworthy once again.   She still starts on the button and sounds good with good oil pressure to boot. I haven`t moved her for a couple of months but she was driven to where she is stored now so the engine and box were functional up until that point and according to the previous owner both were rebuilt less than 6000 miles ago.

As you can see from the pictures the car still looks reasonably good in arguably the best colour combination of them all – Red with the Cream leather interior.

I have not looked over or under the car in any great detail. hence. I am selling this car as a full restoration and anything less is to your advantage. This is a very rare opportunity as these models rarely come onto the market in a condition that you can really put your own stamp on it. They`re normally either £10. 00 basket cases or £45. 00+ trailer queens.  From what I can see of this particular car there are several areas that will obviously need some welding and making good and the body and paint work are not as good as they look in the pictures. Obviously this is not a comprehensive listing of what may be required. just the obvious things that are easily seen. Needless to say all perishables will no doubt need replacing.

I`m not going to go into too much detail on this one as we all know how much this car is worth when fully restored. That said. I would suggest you come and view for yourself as to how much. or how little. is left for you to be done.

So to summarise this car is up and running (not driving or road worthy) and has had a lot of money spent on her in the past by the previous owner but she is now ready for some restoration work to get her back up to scratch.

My reserve has been set well below what I feel it would be worth with some general restoration work. but this is to aid a hassle free sale so please bear that in mind when bidding – HASSLE-FREE…!!!

Any questions please feel free to ask and I`ll do my best to answer honestly and truthfully.

Good luck.

According to the previous owner all the above is accurate but if certain details are important to you then please verify these details for yourself `before` placing a bid as this is not an option once purchased and must be taken as hearsay as opposed to factual for the purpose of this sale.

    PLEASE NOTE:

Obviously due to storage of my trade vehicles and the very nature of older vehicles. I would suggest a good service/overhaul of all fluids. brakes. rubbers. running gear. clutches. pipes. engines and electrics would be advisable and most likely needed in some cases.

Winning bidder to pay £500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal within 24 hrs of auction end!! Deposit `MUST` be paid PRIOR to collection!! This request is purely to deter the day-trippers. hagglers. re-negotiators and winning bidders who feel by their winning of the auction just puts them in the privileged position of having first refusal with the `option` to buy!!

My cars are here to be viewed and encouraged to be viewed and examined before purchase. so if you choose not to. and you win the auction. then the car has been bought as if been viewed and examined. faults acknowledged and accepted. and as spares and/or repair only. not fit for purpose.   By that I mean non-disclosure of a missing wheel nut. a bulb out. a colour change 200 years ago. evidence of previous repair work done. or not done. or anything of the like. will not be accepted as a reason for non-payment. or refund as the option was always there for you to view and examine beforehand and it is impossible to list every single minor point on cars of these ages. no matter how honest I am.

I am also neither a qualified mechanic. nor a panel beater. hence all my listings are based on my own honest personal opinions.   Anything of the utmost importance to you concerning the purchase of this vehicle is for you to verify for yourself BEFORE bidding/purchasing as all information and details provided above regarding the sale of this vehicle are either for my own personal interests `only` or as a matter of my own opinion.

Obviously a huge apology goes out to all you genuine eBayers who appreciate. understand and follow the correct ethics of the auction. but as like me I`m sure you`ve had similar frustrations and fully understand the need for my plea.
