1957 Eldorado Convertible Project
NO RESERVE
Yes. nbsp;you can restore a FACTORY Black on Black 57 Eldorado Biarritz
HAS ORIGINAL ENGINE AS WELL - # MATCH
This car needs a total restoration. I have gathered up all the difficult to locate parts in order to make this very worthwhile project more viable. The 57 Eldorado Convertible has the original cowl tag and engine lube tag. This car was at a restoration shop where they took out the floors. We put in a partial floor to put the front seat in. You will need the floor pan that I have provided to restore this car. The Eldorado trunk floor is not bad. the spare tire well has some holes.
I have the build sheet from General Motors (see picture).
The motor needs to be redone and the 4 barrel carburetor is correct for 1957. This Eldorado Convertible originally came from the factory with a 4 barrel carburetor as noted on the build sheet.
I am selling this car to somebody who really understands what it takes to make a show winner. This car needs to be rotisserie restored and totally rebuilt. These cars are trading between 150K to 250K when done right.
You may have heard about the record sale of 1957 Eldorado that had the "body number 1" and "serial number 1.

First 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz sells for $649. 00Daniel Strohl Mar 29th. 2013

One may indeed be the loneliest number. but being number one certainly has its advantages – up to half a million of them. if this past weekend's sale of the very first 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz at $649. 00 is any indication.
Assigned engine #000001. which makes it VIN #000001. nbsp;the Biarritz also wears body #000001. painted a shade of green that Cadillac reportedly applied to the first production Cadillac of the year during the 1950s. Jim Remlinger. who consigned the Biarritz with the Hollywood Wheels Palm Beach Auction. said that he verified the combination of VIN and body number through Cadillac Historical Services. which provided a copy of the build sheet and the original title showing all three numbers.
Remlinger said he bought the car about two years ago and tore it down for a complete restoration. finding several non-production items on the car. including hand-fabricated moldings. some 1956 parts. and the word “sample” stamped in the frame. Unfortunately. his research never turned up who originally owned the car or any of its history up to about 1959.
The Biarritz and its hardtop equivalent. the Seville. debuted in 1956. but for 1957 Cadillac introduced the oftentimes polarizing chipmunk cheeks rear end and bumped the output of the dual-quad 365-cu. in. V-8 from 305 to 325hp. While the Eldorado Biarritz is generally considered to be the most valuable 1957 Cadillac. price guides generally assign perfectly restored examples a value between $150. 00 and $250. 00.
I am including a lot of A/C parts for the restoration. if I have left any out please let me know as I have several 57s in the yard.
