This is an extremely rare opportunity to acquire my head turning 1975 tax exempt Trekker which is up for sale with 9 months MOT. I have spent a lot of time. and money restoring this lovely old girl. with mountains of receipts to prove the money spent. This has been a labour of love. although it didn't always feel like that. This was never a military vehicle. like many imported Trekkers. This one was one of only around 70 sold to the public in the UK
Handmade mahogany duckboarding on front. rear footwells and rear shelf.

This is a very rare RHD Type 182 and I have a mountain of information/history relating to this vehicle.
The buyer must pay a £500 deposit via Paypal balance by cash on collection.

I have added some more pics showing the interior and the hood. The hood itself is in very good condition but the frame tends to bulge out a bit above the side windows. this is a common weakness in these hood frames and where the front of the hood meets the top of the windscreen it fails to seal tightly and lets in a good breeze when your on the road. The windscreen frame has been rebuilt and new glass fitted. Trekker windscreen frames always rot along the bottom and this was no exception my one was rebuilt using new material. The tyres are in as new condition. The seats are original Trekker seats and being 41 years old they are showing their age a little. the drivers seat back has a tear in the centre. see pics. The engine is 1600cc twin port and was rebuilt during the restoration and all the engine tinware was powder coated. The engine does not have an engine number and in my research into why this should be I found out that VW would supply a replacement engine for a failed engine and the idea was that you then stamp the engine number of the original engine onto the replacement. this obviously never happened on my engine.

Just noticed that the photo of the MOT is actually last years one. the expiry date on the new one is 7th July 2017.

Hi guys,

we are a website on VW Trekkers in Berlin, Germany. I am just updating information about importing oldtimers from GB to Germany and would like to use some pics of the VW Trekkers from your website as we do not have photos of RHD cars.
So I am asking for
1. your permission to use one or two photos of the RHD dashboard in my article: https://181-berlin.de/reimport-eines-vw-kuebel-182-zu-zeiten-des-brexit
2. I can offer a link from my article to this green trekker (https://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=253942) and the yellow one (https://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=49845) on your website if you include a backlink to my article on your website.
This would be useful for all that plan to buy cars in UK.

I am looking forward to your answer.
Thanks, Falk
